Angelina Love vs. Tara

[4.0] "Rough way to start the show. I think both Angelina Love and Tara are capable wrestlers but really didn't click here. A lot of offence straight up doesn't connect and they telegraph nearly every move of a pretty simplistic match structure. I can forgive the finish as I believe it was revealed that Slick Johnson was compromised due to sexual advances from the Beautiful People which is a trashy plot line but one that was pretty on brand for 2009 TNA. Could've been worse but you can see why TNA usually kicks off the show with the X-Division and not the Knockouts"

[3.0] "it was eh good heat, weird finish seeing as the ref had clear view to Tara's foot just all around weird"

[6.0] "I can look past the terrible finish somewhat, given that Tara finally had some new competition to mix up with in the ring with Angelina at the time after dealing with Maria and The Bella Twins for so long. And it helped how Tara eventually did get revenge on Angelina afterwards with winning the Knockouts title, later on in the year anyway. It was nice seeing the Spider's Web move again that Tara was known for, the crowd was into it, the two of them had always pretty good chemistry and there was some unpredictably here as Angelina & Tara was a fresh match-up (at the time.)"

[4.0] "It was an okay opener of the show. And it went downhill from there. It had a bad finish, but the overall match was decent. Not great, but decent."

[3.0] "When watching this I initially thought, 'At least the show can't get any worse'. Little did I know. The match was clunky, and dare I say boring despite Tara's best efforts. The ending could have worked if after the three count, before the ref got up, Angelina blatantly pulled Tara's leg off the rope, but no. It was left there for the ref to see - and then ignore, making him look ridiculous. Speaking of ridiculous, Tara then attacks Angelina along with the ref, putting the infamous Tarantula on Slick Johnson, who tries to sell it like it's going to poison him. Does wrestling never learn that putting live animals, no matter how big or small into the ring is a recipe for disaster. There's never any stakes, despite Tenay trying his darndest to get you to care, but the ref is not one of us, has cost Tara the title and is now paying. Maybe it would be better if the spider did bite him?"

[3.0] "Just a very weak and boring match with some pretty annoying work from both women and finish was just bad."

[5.0] "Aided by the notorious spider, Tara finds herself in an angle with Angelina Love and The Beautiful People. The match is pretty basic with an average pace without ever really getting into gear. Nothing terrible happened, but nothing extraordinary or interesting either in an overall mediocre and forgettable affair,"

[5.0] "God, it wouldn't be a TNA pay-per-view without lots of goofy fuck finishes, would it? There was a lot to like about the Knockouts division, especially compared to the Divas, in this day and age, but this match doesn't exactly show it off. It's a somewhat forgettable but competently worked match between one of my favorite veterans in Tara and Angelina Love, who was always okay but largely just looked better in comparison to Velvet Skye. A "foot on the ropes" controversial finish just kind of deflates the whole thing, too. It's alright, honestly, but a pretty limp opening to a pay-per-view."

[4.0] ""Adequate" is right, nothing to write home about nor a good opener to a PPV but it was whatever and the crowd liked poor Slick getting spider'd. **1/4"

[4.0] "Not a terrible opener but pretty unremarkable. The spray into Angelina's face and the nearfall on the rollup was the only real memorable moment. Shitty ropebreak that the ref doesn't see trope for the finish. Also that spider can seriously piss off - **1/4"

[4.0] "Not a horrible match, but some major annoyances and ridiculous end. Meh. I really do hate title bouts ending in this fashion."

[4.0] "Think it is fair to say the Beautiful People are aptly named. Not sure this is a match I would have put on first for a PPV but it was serviceable other than the crap finish."

[4.0] "** - stupid finish but not the most boring match in the universe. I usually skip the women in this Era in any and all companies and this is definitely skippable. I don't regret watching but it's not good"

[4.0] "Meh. This was a boring match with a bullshit finish and all Tara did to get heat back was slap Slick Johnson and put a spooky spider on him. I wasn't watching at the time so I have no idea what this lead too"
