05.08.2023 | KingsCrossing | 9.0 | This was a great main event. The initial fourway segment was a lot of fun and everybody played off each other well, with Nigel's heel antics being the highlight. Castagnoli's heel turn was interesting and well executed. There is an argument to be made that the final two with Black and Nigel veered in to overkill made, and if the context were different I'd probably agree, but there was a clear story here that was building off their match at Take No Prisoners. This wasn't just kickouts for the sake of it. This was Black showing heart and resilience on the road to what would have almost certainly him being crowned the face of the company if Gabe remained booker. It was both exciting and effective - the crowd really bought in to Black here, and it definitely seemed like they would have embraced him as the next ROH Champion if that story ended up getting to play out.

20.05.2023 | Cigarette Salesman | 8.0 | Starts fine, but it is the last 20 minutes, from Claudio's elimination onwards, where it goes to another level. Amazing heat, effective protection of guys, and set up for future stuff, and all the debris at the end... Man. It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.

08.08.2022 | Geo93 | 9.0 | Nigel McGuinness is challenged by Bryan Danielson, Claudio Castagnoli and Tyler Black in a four-way elimination match for the ROH World Title. McGuinness had more heat than ever in this match, and honestly he might be one of the greatest heels of all time. He's such an asshole, and the ring was covered in trash after he retained the title. Great storytelling between Bryan Danielson and Claudio Castagnoli, and Danielson got eliminated in a way that made him look very strong (while getting some extra heat on McGuinness). Then you had the underdog Tyler Black, once again, taking on McGuinness. Were there too many kickouts in the final sequence of the match? Maybe. But the crowd was going crazy for it, and McGuinness' eventual victory was a real punch in the gut. Awesome match.

23.01.2022 | kale | 8.0 | Yeah this rules. No two ways about it, this is just great. It's a match that rewards someone for watching ROH previously, but also couldn't care less if you didn't. You could pick this match up and watch it and have a blast even if you've never watched any ROH before. On the other side, if you have watched ROH, there's so much to unpack. Claudio is currently being built to become a wrestler of considerable stature within the company, and Tyler Black is on the hottest streak of his life, a streak only further cemented within this match. Bryan Danielson feels sort of "I'm just happy to be here" compared to the other three, but it's Danielson so he's a welcome addition regardless. The best part of this match though, as he always is and always will be, is Nigel McGuinness. Everything he does, from his mannerisms, to his pacing, to his movesets, to his timing, completely screams heel. And I know that most people think of McGuinness as a cowardly heel, using his injuries as an excuse to run away with the Belt time and time again, but I've never viewed him that way. He's arrogant, yes, but there's something more there. There's purpose. Personally, I think that purpose is Bryan. Or rather, what Bryan represents. Going back to how Bryan felt sort of just like a fourth addition, Nigel sees him and forms a target directly in his mind. It's odd, last they met in ROH, Nigel finally beat him, and yet here he is still trying desperately to get the fall on American Dragon. Maybe the first win wasn't enough, or maybe he wants to rub the win in more, I don't know. I just know that Nigel feels like he has something to prove. The only main complaint is how many kickouts Tyler Black does by the end. It's a very fun closing stretch and it further helps Black as a star in the making, but I lost count of how many lariats he kicked out of. One major kickout would've been enough, getting out of the London Dungeon would've been enough. You don't need a guy to kick out of every move the other guy has to keep him strong in defeat, a couple well timed and meaningful kickouts in moderation are more than enough. That's a negative note to end on though so I'll leave it with this: Nigel is great, and this was one of the more overlooked matches in his reign. He's opportunistic, narcissistic, and arrogant. But I will never let anybody call him cowardly.
11.10.2021 | SrHunter | 9.0 | A fantastic match, i loved Nigel's perfomance here, the ultimate asshole triying to cheat his way through, fantastic performances by everyone and the final face-off between Nigel and Black was amazing, hard to believe that Rollins once was this organic and fantastic underdog, great stuff ****1/4.

01.12.2017 | seriousbusiness | 10.0 | You had 4 of the best wrestlers in the world in one ring, so you know this was going to be amazing, and it was. The whole match was fast paced from start to finish with each guy taking turns in the ring against each other, except for Nigel who, in great heel fashion, would tag back out every time he lost momentum. Bryan was definitley the MVP of the match as he had great interactions with every one eventually getting the first pin on Claudio, which led to the latter destroying Bryan in anger thus allowing Nigel to eliminate Bryan and bring it down to two. Tyler was already riding a wave of momentum from previous matches, but this match probably made him more popular than before as he tore the house down with Nigel. Yes it was kind of overkill with all the kick outs, finishers, and move spam, but it was incredible seeing Tyler not go down to even Nigel's best offense. If there was any perfect time for Tyler to win the belt it would have been here, but alas he got so close only for Nigel to just barely steal the momentum and the win, ****3/4.
27.12.2016 | TrevPuroFan | 10.0 | I loved this! From Nigel playing the coward heel perfectly to Claudio destroying Bryan because of his frustrations of getting eliminated early, to Tyler Black putting on a standout performance in the end with Nigel. This rules! ****3/4

09.03.2016 | NastyYaffa | 10.0 | What an incredible match. You have 2 of the absolute best wrestlers in the world, number 1 & 2, in Bryan Danielson & Nigel McGuinness + then you have 2 great, young upcoming wrestlers in Claudio Castagnoli & Tyler Black, and boy, those 4 mixed so well together. Nigel was great w/ his heel antics throughout the whole match, and every pairing in the match got good amount of time. Claudio snapping and destroying Bryan, with Nigel then taking advantage of that & eliminating his greatest rival was awesome, and the battle between Nigel & Black after Claudio & Bryan were gone was fantastic. This is one of the greatest matches in ROH history. Near perfect. ****3/4
20.09.2015 | Mizzle Assault Ant | 6.0 | Some very excellent fourway stuff at the part, but once it boils down to Tyler and Nigel it REALLY goes overboard. Very overindulgent and virtually no psychology, just a billion kickouts. Usually I think that criticism is overstated when it comes to indy wrestling, but this turned into a bad example of the genre in my opinion. I'll give it credit for the early stuff which I thought was really good, but once Danielson & Claudio are gone I wouldn't give this one my recommendation.

02.09.2014 | eldenaaaaa | 9.0 | The early stuff with Claudio and Danielson was just angle fodder as an intro to the real match. This was really just a Nigel vs. Tyler contest, and a good one at that. I don't think anyone believed Tyler was going over, but for a few nearfalls, they got you to think "maybe. "
04.05.2014 | kazuya101 | 9.0 | The match that made Tyler Black in Ring of Honor. He went into this match as a heel and became a crowd favourite after taking the champ at the time McGuiness tot he limit, kicking out of numerous of his signature Lariats and going down with a fight. The match was one of the better four ways and a must watch. ****1/2
23.08.2013 | Joelkiz | 10.0 | Sweet match. Good storyline of Claudio being outerwrestled by Danielson, so he snaps. Great heel turn, and great work by all four men.

22.06.2009 | Blue Meanie | 9.0 |
13.06.2009 | The Mountie | 8.0 | Cooler Turn von Claudio, effektive Bösartigkeit von Nigel und zum Schluss Take No Prisoners Reloaded von Black und Nigel. Fand das ständige Lariat-Kickout-Lariat-Kickout-Lariat-Kickout-Spiel hier aber irgendwann ermüdend, darum "nur" gut - ansehen sollte man es sich aber allemal.
