[9.0] "This was definitely one of Marufuji's best performances in ROH to this point. While his offence and athleticism is often impressive, in many of his previous matches he has a tendency to feel very robotic and lacking in personality as he races through one big move after another. In this match he had a mean streak that wasn't previously there, picking apart Shiozaki's neck with a cocky, spiteful edge. It made a world of difference. Go had a good showing as well, with comebacks that were both well timed as well as appropriately physical. It was strange that they had Go in the babyface role after aligning him with Larry Sweeney, and the match itself took a little bit to get going, but this ended up being a much better match than I expected it would be."

[9.0] "Naomichi Marufuji at pretty much his peak (at least from what I've seen) vs the young up and comer, Go Shiozaki. This is a classic NOAH-style match with a good build and then a crazy final sequence. Only minor criticism I can give for this match is that it felt like Marufuji was maybe dominating too much early on. However, when Shiozaki started getting his comeback, and the match got more back and forth, things really picked up. Awesome fast-paced action and Marufuji kind of stole the show here. Shiozaki did put in a great effort, though."

And that's because of too much nearfalls in this match, this was absolutely not needed. Except that, these 2 showed what they are able of, this was intense, very impactful and Shiozaki clearly showed passion to try to beat Marufuji for the first time. ***3/4"

I say this mostly about Marufuji who had an awesome performance, but I feel that he completely outperformed Go in spectacular moves. Not to say Go didn't put up a great fight either because he really did in showing the fire within him in his comebacks. I'm satisfied with saying this was a fantastic match though, ****1/2."

[9.0] "Another fantastic match that was highlighted by Go's power moves and Naomichi's experience and quickness. Everything was hit spot on and with little hesitation. The execution is amazing, even compared to some of the best wrestlers ROH has to offer. ****1/4"
