[8.0] "Great match. First third of the match is incredible, Mio's offense gets stuffed at every turn and she's desperate to find any opening she can against the stronger grappler in Hash. The first time she gets to lock in an arm submission is a victory onto itself. In general, Mio presents the best version of herself: scrappy, intelligent, and full of heart. It's tragic that her leg giving out is what stopped her fighting spirit from keeping her in the fight, letting Hash's last set of bombs put her away."

[6.0] "Hashimoto's opponent today is Mio Momono, current Sendai Girls Tag Team Champion alongside Rin Kadokura. Momono getting a chance to become a double Champion, against Hashimoto no less, is a big sign that Sendai Girls see a lot in her. And if there was anyone in the world to give a joshi wrestler a platform to showcase their talents, it's Meiko Satomura but she's in NXT UK right now so Hashimoto is a strong replacement. The match, to put it simply, is very good! It's just a solid, strong exhibition match made to help Momono look more credible. Unfortunately, Momono is heavily influenced by Manami Toyota, and does a lot of the Toyota classics that made her so insufferable. The tricks that Momono adopted from her bring this match down quite a lot. For example, Hashimoto hits a fallaway german suplex into a lariat, only for Momono to kick out if it at one and then fall down immediately and remain on the mat. Why. Literally why. The German suplex is Hashimoto's finisher, that's the move that got her to all of her title wins ever, and she hits a fallaway variant into a lariat and gets a one count, only for Momono to just DIE and lie on the mat anyway. And sure you could argue that normally Hashimoto does a bridge pin along with the German, but surely you can't believe that a bridge pin makes so much of a difference that it justifies Momono kicking out, at one, from both a German and a lariat, and then proceeding to do absolutely nothing. That, along with a few other painful spots, is pure unfiltered Toyota, and it is a shame that it infected what is otherwise a really great match."

[9.0] "God, Mio Momono is so good and I miss her a lot. Hope she comes back soon. This is one of the best women's matches of the year and one of my favorite matches of the year full stop. The last 5 minutes were freaking fantastic and they played the small/big dynamic to perfection with Mio trying to counter Hash's power moves and then Hash countering the counters with even more power. Genuinely brilliant stuff. ****1/2"

[10.0] "This was my first ever exposure to Sendai girls and I was blown away with their breath-taking performance. These two women put on a legit banger, a women's MOTYC. The story-telling was top notch and well constructed, additionally the ring psychology was spot on and very fundamentally sound. They made it clear in the very beginning that this was a David vs Goliath dynamic but in very unique and specific ways such as Mio struggling to convert into a headlock takeover and Chihiro having her number in the shoulder block exchanges. Chihiro worked on the ankle of Mio while Mio targeted the arm of Chihiro and did some very impressing work on making the injury look legitimate. Mio also did a marvelous job at playing a sympathetic and very passionate baby face figure with tons of fighting spirit and determination. Mio also had to go a extra mile to take down someone the size of Chihiro and so had to sacrifice her well being and step out of the comfort zone in order to do something innovative. An example of this is the diving cross-body outside of the ring, double stomps outside and the brutal headbutts. These two also did some impressive and exceptional work on the amt. It was very smooth and fluid and simply aesthetically pleasing. It also had a hard hitting element to it as well especially from Chihiro's side with the fore-arms and lariats. I also loved the German's and the fact that they would catapult Mio to a considerably big range. There were many brilliant spots such as Mio keeping the arm-bar locked in despite Chihiro picking her up and slamming her on the turnbuckle, reversing power bomb mid-air into a beautiful and neatly executed code-red and Mio's comeback sequence as she would kick out at 1 and her connecting with a German on Chihiro. In all honesty, the sequences were scintillating and a pleasure to watch. It had the fiery energy and atmospheric intensity and a bit of suspense and drama too. It had loads of momentum and the pacing was great and I adored that the match ended with a German. If Mio were to win , there would have definitely been more content as it would be interesting to see what Mio would have to do in order to take down the beast and most likely would have been a 5 star. Regardless, it was still a phenomenal match and deserves attention because this was fantastic. The mat wrestling and grappling was so very crisp with all the counters and transitions. It was artistic in many ways and these two drew a masterpiece on the canvas and mat and all over the ring. You ahve to praise it. ****3/4"

[10.0] "The two women who squared off so spectacularly at the end of the elimination match I covered the other day. I saw they had a 1 on 1 match shortly after and i just had to see it, and it was everything I hoped for. Hashimoto was once again a wide path of destruction, and Momono was once again a small pink package of resilience and vicious attacks. Let me describe one sequence in this match that I think encapsulates this match: Mio has Hash down in an arm submission. Hash picks up Mio, still int he submission, and lobs her over the corner, almost cracking her on the ring post. Mio keeps holding on and hangs Hash's arm over the ropes, upside down, still in the submission. Hash is pulled out of the ring and both crash to the floor, and Mio STILL is holding the submission! Incredible tenacity from Mio, amazing power from Hash, great psychology all around. This was another genuine pleasure to watch and another strong MOTY contender."

[9.0] "It was a discovery for me, I haven't seen a single match of both women since now. They impressed me so much. That was so epic with a David vs. Goliath vibes. Momono targetting the arm whereas Hashimoto destroyed the ankle was a very good dynamic. Both wanted to submit the other. Hashimoto's German Suplex are art, that selling though. Smooth action as hell, Momono is so agile, at the same time the mountain of power that is Hashimoto. You feel nevertheless that the later is way more experienced. Great discovery, I didn't waste my time at all."

[9.0] "After an incredible ending stretch at GAEAism and great exchanges for the Sendai Tag titles, I was waiting for Mio and Chihiro to go at it again, this time in 1v1, like if it was a big match between two huge stars. It starts a little bit slow but the second part of the match (that begins pretty early, don't worry) is just amazing, just like their previous encounters in fact. Chihiro's german suplexes are an example of control, mastery and also a proof that some high angle suplexes can be done very safely (Mio's head never touches the ground), Mio's sunset flip is amazing, they striked each other really hard and Mio's comebacks made me think that she had a chance of winning. Great match. ****1/2."

[9.0] "Really great match but not as epic as their clash at the main event of the GAEAism show in that elimination match. That one is a 10 for me and this one is a 9. These two have an amazing chemistry and they play "the big powerhouse monster vs the small and high speed underdog match" to perfection. Everytime they've been in the ring together this last few months has been gold and I see some people considering Mio Momono for their wrestler of the year which is really impressive. Also, shoutout to the Sendai Girls vs Marvelous feud in general which has been of the best things in joshi wrestling in 2021."

[10.0] "Easily match of the year. Instead of ignoring the size differential and falling into the trap of video game wrestling, these two really played to their strengths and it made Mio look all the better for finding smart ways to avoid Chihiro's onslaught. Some of the German suplexes Chihiro pulled out were insane and Mio's submission work was excellent. Chihiro apologised for not drawing a crowd after the match and with more well built, fantastic title matches like this (or any title matches at all) Senjo may end up interesting enough to bring those fans back."

[8.0] "For me, this one is the best match of the show, the best Sendai match this year and the best match of Mio Momono's young career. It was very well built and the story was very well told. Mio Momono had a lot of domination in this match, it surprised me but it was far from illogical. If Momono wins, she knows that she is gonna step up once and for all, beating Chihiro Hashimoto in a big match like this for a world title. She works very well Hashimoto's arm, and Hashimoto's selling was great for the whole match. Momono was intelligent but Hashimoto is more experimented, her returns are very impactful and shows her experience that Momono doesn't have. The only thing that disappointed in the match is the finish, I really wanted Momono to kick out of Hashimoto's German Suplex, it would've been showing an evolution since the GAEAism show. ****1/4"

[7.0] "Chihiro's first defense in almost a year and a half. It started slow with some rudimentary back and forth, but the second half was frenetic and dynamic, beginning with a nasty German suplex that saw Momono land on top of her head. They did a good job of pacing and building the match. I really liked how Momono stuck to her game plan. And Chihiro is a monster with freakish speed and strength. Despite having a barebones roster, Sendai Girls have managed to match Chihiro with mostly strong opponents. I don't think Momono is a strong opponent, but Chihiro was doing her best to make Momono feel like one. ***1/2"
