[4.0] "This match was captured via an audience recording. Given my track record with Umanosuke Ueda (a performer who I respect as a pioneer but whose in-ring work too often exhibited what I consider to be the worst tendencies of heel work in this era - if he wasn't the mayor of nerve hold city he at least had a job for life as an upper clerk), I dragged my feet getting around to this, but I shouldn't have been so trepidatious. At under seven minutes this is exactly as long as it needs to be, and the always-competent Goro Tsurumi proves fitting to work against Caras. When the Ueda nervehold comes, they at least have the common courtesy to put it after an entertaining opening stretch with Tsurumi. And Ueda doesn't hog the spotlight at all, so the nervehold this time felt like a reasonable transitional segment. When Tenryu comes in he's not, you know, *Tenryu* yet; this is "Amarillo Tenryu" through and through. He cannot help but sap the energy of this some after Caras' standard but exciting lucha work. There's a fun moment where he psychs out Tsurumi with a fake big boot before hitting a headlock takeover. When Ueda gets tagged in everything falls apart into "young native face must suffer" as Ueda targets his throat with a steel chair. I can't go crazy on the rating or anything, but this was a fun chunk of footage that didn't overstay its welcome and utilized the dynamic Dos Caras well. **1/4"
