[7.0] "Awkward Adam Page, who does not make a convincing cowboy no matter how many times they roll him out there, is a terrific performer in the ring. He opens this show with Powerhouse Hobbs. They have a pretty decent match with some good back and forth action. It looked for a brief second that Hobbs was going to upset Page, but itwasn't meant to be and Page gets the victory."
[9.0] "Die Story rund um die TAZ-Gruppe und Adam Page gefällt mir richtig gut. Dazu ein hart geführter Kampf zwischen Page und Hobbs, von dem ich ohnehin bald gerne mehr sehen würde."
[8.0] "Great way to open the show . This was definitely the best Hobbs has looked in a while , dare I say this was his best performance ever . The strength vs speed dynamic was well built with Hobbs over-powering Page and then focusing his attention towards working on his arm and did a commendable job on it . That ring post spot felt weird and Page got his head busted open but other than that everything else was great . The match the revolves around Page trying to fight through the pain incurred on the arm which he needs to deliver the heavy strikes and most importantly the buck shot lariat . Page still uses it but sells it showing that the damage has been done to it and so it takes time for Page to unleash his flurry of offense . I was glad that after the Cage and Stark distraction , they did not finish the match right away as Hobbs would reverse the buckshot into a spine buster . It had the presence of hard hitting strikes in it as well. Page would eventually win with the dead eye . The match told a good well developed story with strong psychology factor . The match had a very good pace as both guys were able to showcase all the stuff they wanted to and the finish was not rushed . The outcome was never in doubt and the right man won . Great wrestling match . ****"
[6.0] "Hobbs looked like the star here, bossing Page around and being a total badass heel. Page was fine too, I guess. Look, I love the Hangman but I don't think I'll offend anyone by saying that this was one of his lesser performances. ***"
[7.0] "My second favourite match that night. Hangman Page is perfect in show opening matches. He can heat the crowd up and his matches are usually high quality."
[8.0] "Always sending Hangman out as an opener is a sign of a crowd that will be even hotter than they already were. A great clash that clearly puts Hobbs on display, who was as powerful as he was methodical. Page gives us an accendital Ric Flair with peeing blood through his scalp. Great opener, Hobbs shined into defeat. He's surely the worker who looks like Taz the most. I'm betting he's gonna be his only client after the team's split."
[7.0] "Solid way to open the show. Had a few things that I liked including the Buckshot/Spinebuster counter and Page winning with the ROP as I like wrestlers having multiple finishers and he hasn? t won with it in a while."
[6.0] "This was a solid but unspectacular opening match-up between Hangman and Hobbs here, I had quite a few expectations for this match because Hangman is always great when he's positioned in the opener of a show and he knows how to get the crowd right into it by getting them to react thanks to his huge popularity with the AEW fans, and I have to say I wasn't disappointed, it was exactly what it was supposed to be because they didn't overdo it. If I say it was unspectacular it's mostly because there are a few moments where it was a little flat, but overall both wrestlers did a good job. Hobbs was a good heel to generate heat in front of his opponent's big overness, he did a good job on Hangman's arm, unfortunately Hangman never sold it. Hangman was as usual a fantastic babyface who gets the crowd reacting every time he has the advantage, as I said it's a shame his selling was non-existent. But overall it was more than decent with a good angle around Cage and Starks at the end of the match."
[8.0] "Great opener. Page has been consistently good now for awhile. This was possibly the best match Hobbs has had yet. It was two tough dudes just smashing each other."
[9.0] "Hangman never has a bad match and Hobbs is quickly getting so seasoned. I think Hobb's facials and mannerisms are perfect and usually that's hard to master, I think the blood from Hangman was a bit too much but that's my opinion. Hobbs is always present and reacting, such a student of the game."
[5.0] "Paled in comparison to Hangman vs Cage, or Hobbs vs Christian. Stayed in first gear pretty much throughout. Liked Hobbs' big counter spinebuster but not much else to love."
[7.0] "Very good opener that helped enhance Powerhouse Hobbs in a loss. He's very composed given his limited experience level. Nasty cut to the back of Hangman Page's head, glad he got through this, using something other than the Buckshot Lariat to get the win."
