[6.0] "Inoki is defending his NWA United National Title against Murdoch here. Murdoch is excellent here as he slowly gets more and more impatient and aggressive. He starts the match trading holds with Inoki while also exchanging handshakes and by the end he is choking and using the ring post to try and beat him. Murdoch takes the first fall with a brain buster. Inoki beats the referees count to tie it up when the two of them spill to the floor and start brawling to even the match 1-1. The third fall is aggressive and Inoki is able to kick out of a brain buster before countering into one of his own for the victory. Fun match with an acceptable although somewhat uncreative finish."

[8.0] "Très bon match technique entre Dick Murdoch et Antonio Inoki. Dommage que le public soit pas à fond dans le match. Quelques mismatches par moment (j'ai hésité entre 7 et 8)."

[7.0] "This is a defense of Inoki's NWA United National title, and to my knowledge is the last JWA match of his in circulation. At time of writing I haven't seen the matches these two had in 1980s New Japan, but from everything I've heard they were a reliable matchup, and this match shows that there was something there from the start. The first fall is logical and satisfying, and though the finish of the match with Inoki stealing the brainbuster after kicking out of it felt humorously out of place in 1971, I thought this match was really good, even if it didn't quite cross the threshold into my favorite JWA matches. ***3/4"
