First the negative, this style is rooted in reality and I thought the sections with Yanamoto and Syuri stretched the credibility beyond breaking point because Syuri is so slight you ask yourself why Yanamoto doesn't just snap her neck. The positive thankfully outweigh the negatives, the finishing 10 plus minutes is essentially a singles math between Kana and Ikeda and rocks. Kana busting him open with a headbutt looked great and she got a receipt back with a running headbutt. I really loved just how broken Kana looked when Ikeda finally put her down for the count. |

Daisuke Ikeda also takes some insane punishment from Kana and even gets busted open. I'm not used to true intergender matches (most of the ones I've seen are tags where the men wrestle men and women wrestle women) so this was very different. I'm curious too why eventually Syuri and Yamamoto basically just stop being involved in the match at all. This basically feels like Kana having a short singles match with Syuri then a short singles match with Ikeda. |

Ikeda & Kana obviously mixed up the strikes and mat stuff on those "early" minutes. I loved the exchanges between Kana & Syuri, very stiff but Kana & Syuri were very tired. The whole last exchanges between Ikeda & Kana were fucking insane, Ikeda didn't gave a fuck and Kana took so many fucked up shots, she also gave some very nasty ones. 43mins that didn't felt like 43mins. (****1/2) |
