It didn't feel organic and natural, but just guys running around hitting their spots. I'm so over matches like this at this point."

[7.0] "Fun opening match between the Young Bucks and PAC & Penta here which was nothing more than fun and it's a shame because there was the possibility of doing something great, but I can also hear the fact that they wanted to do something pretty quick for this no-title match which wasn't going to be of any use at all afterwards given the result. But I'm sure that with a few more minutes and the incredible Double Or Nothing crowd, we would have had a fantastic match because where Young Bucks vs PAC & Fenix was memorable a few months earlier, this one with Penta as a partner was clearly forgettable. Good sequences, good moves, a good story as you'd expect with these four great wrestlers but nothing that makes you jump out of your chair, the atmosphere is a bit shy and the match is far too short in my humble opinion. What also spoils it is the terribly executed ending, but the action was still cool."

Decent sense of psychology and the story here was the Bucks being cocky in the early stage sonly for it to back fire on them and then they have to use their dirty ways to score the win . Also , loved the part where Penta has two masks on as he is aware of their ways . The Bucks core the win after the low blow and then Nick pinning Pac for the 3 count . It teased a unexpected victory for Triangulo de la muerte after the Black Arrow until a Buck breaks the count . It was fast paced action with the brutality of Pac and Penta up against the smarmy Bucks attitude . I also liked the part where one Buck does a german on Pac while Penta hits a small package on the other Buck . It had the hard hitting moments too mainly from the Death Triangle unit . It got enough time and it was a great TV match . ****"

A couple times a match it works (Their Shield reference at Double or Nothing) but it was nonstop here. They do the obligatory Package Piledrivers and apron spots with minimal selling. Rick Knox the corpse referee does absolutely nothing all match long. I like Penta but he's gotten pretty terrible over the last few months. His technique is bad and his offense feels recycled. Leg kicks, taunts, piledrivers, shitty superkicks. There was one awful spot where Matt was breaking up PAC's pinfall and Penta just stood there and did nothing. PAC hits his finisher and Nick just gets back on offense 15 seconds later. Predictable Cutler interference finish. Post match run-in of course. **"

It wasn't bad, but expectations were much higher given everyone involved. The crowd just wasn't that hot for some reason, and the finish was a bad combination of screwy and abrupt. A bunch of really cool spots in the middle though."

Package Piledriver, PAC's Corkscrew Shooting Star and Nick is dead. PAC goes for a pinfall and Penta just standing outside the ring and watching Matt breaking the fall. What the fuck was Penta doing there? Why he didn't even protect his partner? It was an easy win. What a bullshit!"

I still don't like the idea of non-title matches in regular match types, though. A gimmick match or something like the G1 where you can argue that there's no equal footing is something I can buy. This was a regular tag match against the champs which wasn't for the belts."

All four men are great athletes, although they potentially didn't show off everything that they're capable of. A fun, high-paced opener with some good nearfalls, definitely the best thing on the show."

[5.0] "The highlight of a very weak show, but not one of The Young Bucks best. Pre-match attack by Kazarian, who was strangely already being referred to as "The Elite Hunter" by Excalibur on Sunday, before he had any previous, which comes across as very forced. Pretty standard tag, with Bucks heel antics not drawing much of a reaction from a lukewarm crowd. Interference finish by Cutler for a predictable climax. Post match run-in to complete the bingo call card. Two Young Bucks classics in a week was too much to ask, merely a reasonable opener on this occasion. **3/4"

Bucks show again they can't beat anyone and make the match completely meaningless. This was an example of we can have a good match, but we won't. Let's just show off for a bit and then have a stupid finish to "protect" Death Triangle and "make them look strong". CM Punk's words continue to ring true towards AEW's current booking of every heel and I hope they learn eventually that this old world formula will lead to another fan exodus if they keep it up."

I liked the continuity with the unmasking of Penta and the save by Kingston after the match. Not as good a match as these teams had with Fenix in the place of his brother, but nobody would expect it to be as an opener."
