If you dont want one of these two guys losing the match, dont make it a Hell in a Cell! If people rightfully rate Rollins/Fiend low for its ending, I think you have to give this match similar treatment."

[7.0] "Despite the non finish, I thought this was an entertaining Hell in a Cell match and a pretty brutal match for a TV show and the interconnecting storylines here was really good. It's not really structured like a PPV match would be, but there's still some really good car crash spots that was synonymous with Foley in this type of match where Undertaker who is now aligned with Kane pulls Mankind off of the cell and through an announce table in a call back to their famous match. The match gets pretty hard hitting when Kane and Mankind are eventually padlocked into the cell with the bag of thumbtacks coming into play. Kane looks like a monster towards the end of the match where he had the match dead to rights when he lands the tombstone, but instead of pinning Mankind he punished him further with more chair shots to the head under Taker's orders! Austin comes out from under the ring to attack Kane with Taker unable to stop him, which got some huge reactions. This isn't one of the top tier Hell in a Cell matches, but it was an excellent TV segment with some very strong build with the main Summerslam storylines."

[7.0] "The Big Red Machine's brute strength gets the better of him and instead of trying to end the match early, he unnecessarily prolongs Mankind's ordeal as The Undertaker looks on sadistically through the fence. Kane is about to win when out of nowhere Steve Austin appears to destroy him and end the match with the entire crowd chanting for him. This pitched battle has no clear beginning or end, but that's not why I'm going to consider it a bad match, or even a messy one, as in the midst of that madness both Foley and "The Big Red Machine" are very consistent. Though it also may not go beyond a personal fetish of mine."

Could have done them after the match but looking back, they needed to build the story for the next couple of pay per views. One of the weakest cell matches when compared to others."

[6.0] "This was a damn solid TV match but it being in the cell did not belong. Mankind took one hell of a beating and took a big bump off the cell to the table. Mankind got in some decent hope spots on Mankind and even did a piledriver to Kane through thumbtacks. After this Kane brutalizes him the rest of the way up until Austin gets invovled and attacks Kane.***1/4"

Again, a flashback of Undertaker dumping Mankind from his cage and then a beat from Kane including dangerous blows with a chair to the head and Austin suddenly appears to kick the ass of a big red machine. But since this is the rule of hell in a cage, it could not end without a result, this is the oversight of the match."

[6.0] "Gotta say, not a fan of a Hell in a Cell match at a random non-PPV show. It wasn't a bad match. There's some action outside the ring before the match, Foley trying to climb the cell and at some point, after decking all the refs, gets dragged down onto an announcers table by Taker. The match itself is mostly Foley getting dominated, pouring some tacs out that mostly end up in Kane's ass, and getting a couple piledrivers, one of which is on a chair. It all looks pretty brutal, especially a crossbody to the outside of the ring from Kane onto Mankind. Austin shows up from under the apron to kick Kane's ass while Taker's locked out. Kane ends up bleeding from the head, while Austin makes his escape thanks to McMahon lifting the cage with Taker on top. It's all a spectacle, pretty enjoyable, but not a great match."
