I loved the spot of Don handing Kenny every single one of his titles so he can hit PAC since it's such a lightning in a bottle thing that they could do only when the Belt Collector was happening. I also liked the fact that only Don got involved and not that much even, rather than the whole goon squad coming out to ruin the fun. ****1/4 |

But emotionally invested? Nope. How? How can you be invested in this match? The build-up was worse than a cartoon from Nickelodeon these days, Omega is a shadow of his former self (NJPW days) and his Title reign is absolute horsedump. The mascot Orange Cassidy, while being cool and funny, just doesn't work in a Title match, because you cannot take him and his work seriously. It would be like Santino Marella fighting for the World Title in that other promotion. But I think, you get the idea. Next: PAC. I just feel pity for him, because I know, he will never get the World Title in AEW, because they are (the one guy in charge) stupid. The ending was very very anti-climactic and all that WCW-style overbooking in the last part of the match really pissed me off. Still I give this 7 points because of the athleticism and because the standards in AEW on several things are very low, and this was above that in a way. |
