Finlay vs. Matt Hardy

[6.0] "Unfortunately, we only get to see 9+ minutes of this, but still, they delivered a strong TV title bout. It was well-paced, opening with a technical section and adjusting the pace once the crowd got on board with it, trading some physicality, and then going back and forth for the remainder in a babyface versus babyface match. It seemed like we were headed for a tough crowd, but they got them invested and even had dueling chants, but the majority ended up siding with Finlay, giving this an odd atmosphere but a good and unique one. ***1/4"

[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. Matt Hardy was a pretty good ECW Champion, and showed that he is capable when put in a world championship scenario. Finlay is one of the best wrestlers to never win a world title of any kind, similar to William Regal. By 2008, Finlay was already 50 years old, but boy he showed that he still had something left to give in wrestling, and for a few more years if that one match he had with Sami Callihan in Evolve was anything to go by. They started out slow and technical, but after the commercial break they started hitting their moves. I will say the the finish was a little sudden, but this was still a fun match in front of the UK crowd. ***1/2"
