13 | 30.01.2025 | cal9099 | 10.0 | I did think the middle section with Kobashi dominating Nakajima dragged a little bit, but the start and finish, particularly the finish, were so great that this has to get the 10. Nakajima/KENTA were great in that final pairing and Sasaki was my MVP. A super hot crowd too made it feel like peak Japanese pro wrestling, great stuff. ***** |

16 | 26.12.2024 | ISimon1912 | 9.0 | I finally decided to watch this match and no matter how long it is I don't regret it at all. No matter how confusing it may seem, the structure of the match is simple to understand and looks a lot like a gauntlet match. There are several tag matches and whenever a fall occurs, the person who suffered the pinfall or submission is eliminated and replaced by the next member of the group until there are two left on each team for one last tag match. The fight is basically divided into two parts. The first 20 minutes are completely insane with all the eliminations happening in a short space of time, with emphasis on the first match, which is very solid. Then comes the climax of the match with the final clash between KENTA/Kobashi vs. Sasaki/Nakajima this one already slows down the pace by lasting more than 30 minutes, but that's where the gold is here, I even like their match at NOAH where it ended in a draw, but here it's much cooler and rawer, this part alone would easily be one of the best matches of the year, but since it has the first 20 minutes I need to analyze the whole, the first 20 minutes I give a rating of ***1/2 and the final part ****3/4, overall ****1/2. |

29 | 18.08.2023 | Oswuold | 10.0 | What a war. Just Kobashi's world vs Sasaki's. The rules are bit difficult to understand but when you learn them the match is perfect. What made it unique is the final stretch (about half of the match): Kobashi and Kenta vs Sasaki and Miyahara, only one pinfall or submission to reach the win and about one thousand of false finishes. A must watch. ***** |

31 | 14.06.2023 | SZ1989 | 9.0 | This was a great survival tag team match. The first 20 minutes felt like a breeze. The first round with a young Miyahara teaming with Okita against KENTA and Aoki featured some great exchanges and it set the tone for the rest of the match while getting the crowd invested. We get some smaller exchanges featuring Sasaki and Akito as the others get eliminated. Then we get to the main course with KENTA and Kobashi squaring off against Sasaki and Nakajima as the last two teams remaining. While it did feel like this segment went a little long, it was still a great finishing stretch with Nakajima getting bullied a bit by KENTA and Kobashi before finding his footing and launching a nice comeback against KENTA. Not sure how it compares to the other Kobashi/KENTA vs Sasaki/Nakajima match from earlier in 2008, but this really felt like a classic NOAH/AJPW-inspired tag team battle. A hot Korakuen crowd makes it even better. Definitely worth checking out. ****3/4 |

38 | 10.12.2022 | Outbackjames | 9.0 | For anyone who can't hunt down a streaming version, I found one on Internet Archive using the date & show title. The match is sooo long, buy it keeps you very engaged for all but maybe 10-20 minutes or so, which is little more than chopamania or restholds. The rest is total MOTY level stuff, though I wish I knew the backstory more. No plans to watch it ever again, but for what it was (part Elimination match, part tag-team match), it was really great. |
39 | 08.11.2022 | benny5bellys | 10.0 | This is an utter classic. I was sitting here thinking it was great and then it got down to final four. I thought this is a long time to go with just four left especially when two are legends but nearing the end of their careers but holy fuck I was wrong. It was just utterly relentless with the intensity of the fight as they go all out to win it for their faction. KENTA and especially Nakajima were outrageously good in. Just outrageous. Brilliant. ***** |

43 | 11.08.2022 | Geo93 | 9.0 | This epic was kind of like several matches in one. I will say that some of these wrestlers didn't seem to matter as much as the others. Akihiko Ito, Atsushi Aoki, Kento Miyahara and Takashi Okita felt like a way to pad the match and their eliminations didn't feel important. It felt like the REAL match started when we got down to Kenta Kobashi and KENTA vs Kensuke Sasaki and Katsuhiko Nakajima. For me, this section went on a LITTLE too long (and it didn't help that this had been going on for awhile already). Things really picked up towards the end, though, and it was cool to see Nakajima and KENTA get the focus over the two veterans, Kobashi and Sasaki. Kobashi was definitely no longer at this peak here, of course, but was still pretty great. Overall, this was still fantastic and one hell of a war, but it definitely went on a bit too long and it probably would have been better if it was only Kobashi and KENTA vs Sasaki and Nakajima. |

57 | 25.05.2021 | cactus | 8.0 | This starts out incredibly strong, with all of the youngsters having something to prove. The NOAH guys absolutely bully the piss out of the Kensuke Office guys. KENTA is the most experienced and lets everyone know about it. Okita looked like a total hoss too. As much as it pains me to say it, but this took a turn for the worse once Kobashi entered the match, as everyone had to slow down to accommodate him. His knees were beyond busted by this point, but he does a serviceable job stretching out poor Nakajima. The final fall went into overkill, with a FIP segment on Nakajima that outwore its welcome and a finishing stretch with way too many 2. 9 near falls. Sasaki looked in incredible shape when compared to Kobashi and he was fantastic as the ace of Kensuke Office defending his promotion from the NOAH invaders. An incredibly physical marathon of a match, but I'd be lying if I didn't say that sections of this left me cold? . ? |

60 | 15.03.2021 | rainmakerpunk | 9.0 | The KENTA and Kobashi Vs Nakajima and Sasaki part of this match was a 10/10, the KENTA and Nakajima stuff was particularly great, KENTA was a star here, however before Kobashi came out here this wasn't that great, not to say it was bad before it got to the final 2 on 2 part, but it didn't add much and it if it was just 2 on 2 then this would be a 10 from me |

80 | 12.08.2018 | seriousbusiness | 10.0 | A very exhausting match to get through because of it's length, but still a gem of a match. The first 15 minutes or so are for the rookies to show off their skills and act as fodder for the real meat of the match: Kobashi/KENTA vs Sasaki/Nakajima. The next 30 minutes are just a rage of a match as both teams just beat the hell out of each other non stop at a fast pace. It's difficult for me to call this a perfect match because of it's inconsequential start, and the fact there wasn't really many "epic" moments that make it feel like a classic. At least when talking about the Kobashi vs Sasaki feud, this match is up there as one of the best, ****3/4. |

83 | 04.01.2018 | Kas | 10.0 | One of the best multiman matches I've ever seen. The opening 2v2 is relentless, and just doesn't stop for 15 minutes until the first elimination. After that, a lot of quickfire eliminations before it gets down to KENTA and Kobashi against Sasaki and Nakajima, and the action ramps up from there. Kobashi and Sasaki take every opportunity to relive their famous chop battle from 2005, while Nakajima and KENTA provide a fast pace, and a slew of great false finishes. Excellent psychology and a relentless pace makes this a true hidden gem. Special mention to KENTA, who was the MVP of the match, and to Miyahara, who played a great fiery babyface. (*****) |
84 | 11.11.2017 | tykechandler | 7.0 | Good match with lots of great moments, but it is ultimately dragged down by its length and its reliance on Kobashi, who is an absolutely drag to watch in this match. He is one of the greatest ever, but he contributes NOTHING here, and he is actively bad. His moveset consists almost entirely of chops, and he does little else. He just really, really sucks in this match. Everyone else is awesome, especially KENTA, who solidified himself in my head as one of the best in the world after seeing him here. Great ending, as well. ***1/2. |

94 | 07.12.2014 | yanus | 8.0 | Very good match, but not great in my opinion. The match has to many segments, where wrestlers are visibly doing stuff that will have no really influence on the finish of the match (at least the early eliminations do happen in a rather fast fashion). The finish is really good, but this is not good enough for me to go higher with my rating. |
