[8.0] "This was a very good match. This was a Champion vs Champion match, with The Rock as the WWE Undisputed Champion and Chris Benoit as the Intercontinental Champion. Both Rock and Benoit were set to defend their titles at Summerslam against Brock Lesnar and Rob Van Dam respectively. These two have great chemistry together, able to put on good matches with relative ease. Rock was about to hit the People's Elbow on Benoit, but he noticed Lesnar coming down the ramp and he left the ring to have a stare down with him. That left him open to be attacked by Benoit and eventually put in the Crippler Crossface. Rock managed to reach the rope and moments later was able to win the match with the Rock Bottom. ***3/4"
[7.0] "Wish they had a longer match, but still very good for what it was as Benoit is very intense to watch and the Rock still had the fans at the palm of his hands. I had to appreciate the call back spot where Rock was in the crossface with Brock staring him down. I have to say Benoit's diving headbutt move, which he did for the first time since his neck injury in this match is hard to watch in today's context."
[4.0] "It's an ok tv main event, Benoit and Rock do mesh well in the ring but this wasn't that engaging from a in ring stand point. The atmosphere really helped and helps that The Rock has alot of charisma and babyface fire. I like what they did with the Brock run in."
[7.0] "Good match as expected. Benoit and rock have good chemistry dating back to their matches in 2000. Standard tv main but with the star power of both guys and the hot crowd this was better than usual tv main events are. 3.5/5"

[7.0] "These two had a bunch of good tv matches in 2000 and 2001 so to no surprise this was good. Rock was good as the energetic babyface, Benoit was doing well in his aggressive heel nature going after the left shoulder of Rock. I loved the way Rock sold the pain when he was in the sharpshooter with his facial expressions as he desperately tried to grab the ropes.***1/2"
