Abyss vs. Monty Brown

Abyss did a chairshot toward's Monty Brown's ribs also a seated senton. Monty Brown does a powerslam to Abyss on the chair. Chopping sequence back and forth. Alabama slam on the tacs to close out. Very good Serengeti Survival match. 7/10. ***1/2"

[6.0] "Daaaamn bro what a shame. I love Monty Brown, he's so one of my faves of this era of tna and Abyss is absolutely awesome and they have a fun match but that finish. It's such a shame he missed the tacks cos if he'd nailed it this would be an 8 but he misses them so completely it has to go down a bit. Also it could have gone a little longer but what was there I really enjoyed till the finish came."

[4.0] "Just felt like this was a really slow brawl with nothing really happening until we get into the finishing sequence."

[6.0] "I don't get what the point of adding the pin or submission part was but it was alright. Just a tables match but instead of tables, thumb tacks"

[5.0] "A pretty average match with an odd finish. I'm not sure if they explained it but the fight ends when Abyss is slammed onto thumbtacks even though the spot looked like he missed them almost entirely. The Blackhole Slam always looks great and Monty Brown's power is pretty amazing but this match was somewhat lackluster in my opinion. 2.5 stars at best."

[6.0] "Monty cuts a truly awful promo before this and for all his qualities, his promos are more often than not awful. It took forever to get going but once it did I enjoyed this with Monty Brown having some seriously impressive strength. I am not sure I was paying attention when they explained the rules because I was very confused when the bell rang once someone had gone into the drawing pins,"

[6.0] "Not as great as I would expect from these two but still a good time regardless. Both guys got to hit some fun moves and the finish was a great showcase of Monty's strength."

[5.0] "An alright brawl. A bit slow paced and the finish doesn't come off as intended, but not too bad all in all."

[7.0] "Sooooooooo much fun. The finish was slightly botchy in that Abyss barely hit the tacks but it was a great spot and truly impressive show of strength. Abyss was around for so long it was easy to take him for granted or grow sick of him but he performs so well here and Monty Brown really is a star who should have been. So impressive."
