[7.0] "Before the match even starts, Hardy makes me laugh by moving the ref because he's in the way of the camera, brilliant! King of the Mountain is a hit-or-miss match type for me, sometimes I love it and sometimes I hate it. This feels like a Jeff Jarrett special as he is the focal point and plays his 'greatest hits', almost too a fault because Karen won't shut up. It was nice to see him eat some pins right from the get go. Makes complete sense for Roode & EY work together knowing their history, just don't listen to Josh because he couldn't get his head round it. The story of Jarrett trying to get a pin was well told and the crowd were fully behind him, just not the match. A mistimed spot with the faces on the ladder was unfortunate but it's live, pal. Despite Drew's nice dive, him and Matt felt like complete non-factors in this match. A fun main event but not a great KOTM match."
[8.0] "This match type is often a confusing mess, but this one was easy to follow; at every point there is a developing story to watch. At first it's Jeff Jarrett getting sent to the box twice in a row, then it's Roode and Young conspiring together. Things get chaotic (in a good way) when a second ladder is introduced. Double J takes a piledriver on to a ladder. Then the scottish psychopath does a senton off the cage! One of the better kotm matches."
[7.0] "This was a good match match. It wasn't about high spots or who could do the craziest dives, though Drew Galloway would certainly try when he dove from the top of the penalty box. They had to play the match smart, since Jeff Jarrett was older than everyone in the match, they booked this to where Jarrett had the disadvantage for a good part of the match, either by getting pinned or missing out on pin attempts. This built up to the moment where he hit Eric Young with the guitar to secure the pinfall. This was a more grounded KOTM match, with a lot of brawling and the spots they did do were carefully planned out. I will say the one criticism I have is that the crowd at times weren't into it. For example, right before the finish Eric Young hit Bobby Roode in the head with the KOTM championship belt. This got almost no reaction from the crowd, and I think that hurt the match just a little bit. It was obvious everyone wanted to see Jeff Jarrett the most as he was more over than everyone else there. ***1/4"

[10.0] "Found Jarrett eating countless pins early on absolutely hilarious. Bit of a strangely booked match, but this was probably one of my favourite TNA Main Events ever. Gave a small amount of importance and credibility to this short lived title also."
[8.0] "Very fun main event with DOUBLE J doing his thing one more time? until the next. They went hard for the PPV and managed to make a big match out of nothing"
[10.0] "This whole scenario was flipping weird, I remember that for sure, yet the match ended up being tremendously fun, pretty fantastic version of this weird match type. My favorite folks in here were Roode and EY, they seemed to be especially killing it."
