Jim Steele vs. The Equalizer

[3.0] "Here, too, one should ask who's responsible for putting this card together, and whether it's all really that cleverly combined. When you put Jungle Jim and Evad Sullivan--neither of whom are particularly talented or interesting characters, but who are always just on the verge of being called 'top jobbers'--in a match, this is just what you end up with. What's delivered here isn't great, and you can count yourself lucky that you didn't devote any more time or attention to this piece."

[3.0] "The Equalizer is not the guy to put Steele over as it was heard for the most of the match, where the crowd didn't really care. Jim was in a great shape and he could move, but he just left me thinking that he's basically X-Pac's face on Jimmy Snuka's body."

[3.0] "I had thought Jungle Jim Steele to be something of a fever dream, but here he is to refresh my memory. I remember him being sort of an upper-level enhancement guy who could have decent matches occasionally. He had a great look. He kind of resembled The Renegade but had a Tarzan-like character. Unfortunately, he was in the ring with Evad Sullivan."

[1.0] "Jim Steele needed someone good in there to get a solid match out of him back in 1994, and Equaliser wasn't the guy to be doing it. I wonder why they didn't put Steele in there with someone like Bobby Eaton who could have possibly carried him to something watchable"

[3.0] "Dull as can be. For the most part both for competent enough wrestlers but there's no heat, I wasn't watching WCW around this time so just watching the pay-per-view gave me no idea what they were fighting about or what their characters even are and not any good moves. Brain commentary made it somewhat bearable but don't watch this. Definitely NOT a recommended"

[1.0] "too bad. it was basically an endless exchange of fake punches and ridiculously plastered strikes. the action did not convince and did not even seem true at any time"

[2.0] "Erm well this was a match. I am not quite sure what WCW were expecting these two to be able to produce on a PPV when they booked the match. It wasn't beyond redemption but it wasn't anywhere close to being good."

[1.0] "Wow, what were they thinking. Placing this match in a PPV, was a mistake. It was almost unwatchable. Several botched moves, and horrible sells."

[0.0] "This was a complete turd of a match on paper, and in reality, it didn't just fail to exceed expectations, it somehow went lower. The future Dave Sullivan is an absolutely horrible wrestler, as he is in every other match, and Jungle Jim doesn't have the ability or experience to carry it. Every single move was either painfully slow, ineffective-looking, or botched by the Equalizer."

[0.0] "Sometimes WCW gets a bad reputation when they don't deserve it. However, sometimes they put freaking Dave Sullivan in a PPV match against Jungle Jim Steele. Some things are not forgivable, after all."
