[2.0] "Ended in a disqualification before the match could get to anything interesting. A waste of the Road Warriors."

[3.0] "The Road Warriors showed up, and that's about the only good thing here - none of the teams even tried to make it exciting since they knew what the finish was. The Freebirds didn't bump much, The Road Warriors lacked energy, and then came the abrupt ending. At the very least, Hawk or Animal should have had one comeback to fire up the crowd, but we got nothing."

[4.0] "Not much here, though it's always fun to see the Road Warriors in action, and this is particularly hilarious era of the Freebirds. Very abrupt finish into the Funk interview after for what is a hot crowd comes off rather flat. **"

[3.0] "This is a stylistic clash to begin with, and the surrounding pieces only emphasise that here. It's just not much good, kicking off a memorable night in flat fashion. *1/2"

[2.0] "Huh, weird to see a crowd that don't care for the Road Warriors. And when they, oh boy do they get exposed. The usual no-selling and DQ finish goes down like a lead balloon when it's silent and the work is bad."

[3.0] "The worst part of this is how this match could have been better as these are two great teams, but the match was only about five minutes long with a non finish. Such a shame."

[3.0] "The action itself is very ordinary and not especially interesting, just basic power offence from the Road Warriors, but it's nowhere near as bad as you'd expect from the rating. Where this falls apart is the awful finish - a very abrupt DQ that makes Hawk look like a moron. Flat way to start the show and a waste of time given the lame ending."

[2.0] "This was a dire match. The Road Warrior's entire gimmick is beating the shit out of guys who sell for them. The Freebirds don't sell anymore, leading to this plodding bore of a match."

[2.0] "Even before the bad finish this match wasn't good. I don't want to watch Road Warriors vs guys who sell like they want to be Road Warriors. Very slow and dull match. This was a bad opening match for this show. The Freebirds are really grating to watch at this point."
