[6.0] "They did a good job of building this Battle Royal throughout the show, so even though it wasn't all that different from most matches of this kind, it still felt important. To top it off, the final three - Bulldog, Typhoon, and Rougeau - were handled very well, and it made for a great moment with Davey standing tall at the end."
[6.0] "Got to be in the conversation for best Battle Royal of all time. It was pretty well booked throughout and I actually really enjoyed Lord Alfred Hayes losing his mind for Bulldog at the end."
[9.0] "One of the best Battle Royals of all time. There's a wealth of moving parts here. Booked exceptionally well and some of the wrestlers play starring roles. We firstly must mention Ric Flair & Roddy Piper, Piper made this match absolute hell for Flair. Jerry Sags has a ridiculous facial expression that can't be missed, he's one of the MVP's here. Hawk also really shows his stuff & is one of the people who keep the action hot n heavy. Big Boss Man has an incredible moment where he uses the ropes to STAND his way out of an elimination. Paul "Glory" Roma's exit from the WWF was as spectacular as he could make it and worked hard here. The Mountie is a total bastard! The finish is glorious. I adore the commentary as well. Everyone did great in the booth and this was one of the (if not the number one) shining moments for Lord Alfred Hayes. Top tier battle royal in a gimmick match that's usually underwhelming."
[6.0] "This was actually a solid, and mostly well booked Battle Royal. Everybody else worked for the second time on this show but Typhoon and Roddy Piper. If I had one small complaint I probably would've had Earthquake survive a little longer in the match to really have him look strong. Davey Boy wins his second match in a row in nice feel good moment for the crowd."
[6.0] "Actually, a fairly standard battle royal, the difference being the fact that it was the main event of the show, to which there was a lot of attention, and the fact that a cup was awarded to the winner. It wasn't bad, but it was also far from the best battle royal I've seen. The final minutes were interesting, Piper and Flair's brawl and the winner's choice to the delight of the local crowd were the best moments of the match."
[6.0] "It's a battle royal, so what you see in this match is the typical chaotic brawl characteristic of a battle royal. It has the merit of having a central storyline, the feat of the fan favorite British Bulldog who makes it to the end and wins in front of the adoring crowd. A simple yet effective story."
[6.0] "Decent battle royal which sent the fans home happy with a victory from their countryman The British Bulldog. There were really no other options to win this thing, as Kerry Von Erich and Tito Santana were thrown out early. Piper was gone mid-match, but it was an ok battle royal. The post-match Andre the Giant appearance was great, though."
[6.0] "1991 was a good year for battle royals. Mega pop for the British Bulldog and Roddy Piper on their entrances. Piper takes out Flair to a big pop. This was also the last televised appearance of Paul Roma in the WWF which meant the end of Power and Glory and the end result was Hercules floundering in the under card until leaving in early 92. It comes down to Bulldog against Mountie and Typhoon. Bulldog rallies of course to send the fans home happy and they made a big deal for months to follow with him winning the Samovar Trophy."
[7.0] "This is the oldest Battle Royale I've ever watched. And I was surprised to see the reward, a cup full of samovar (I think), it's quite atypical as a reward. But it was fun to watch."
[7.0] "Good battle royal! Not the best I've seen but still, I'm a sucker for a battle royal and this one has some big names in it doing some fun stuff. British Bulldog is very over, of course, but Flair, Piper, Taker, Boss Man, some real heavy hitters here."
