[7.0] "Zeus has recently been an absolute monster, really since the mediocre Tanaka match to open the year. The solemnity and intentions of Z's expressions, however, is tamed when placed within the contours of a M Event singles match. They didn't reinvent the wheel, like 'arrancar' mentions, but each had moments where he would tease his finisher. Right ending as it further set-up the showdown between each AJPW tag champions. 3 1/4 - 3/10, rounded-up for the aforementioned."
[6.0] "Is Zeus the one to knock Miyahara out of his 3+ year run of wrestling the exact same match' No, of course not, because Miyahara is the most uninspired main-event wrestler in all of Japan. He forces me to give his matches the exact same comments every time I review them because he gives the EXACT SAME MATCH every time he steps in a ring. I won't be like the infamous anti-NJPW fans on here that go and give NJPW's top matches 4s through to 0s just because they dislike one or both of the wrestlers involved, since I can still acknowledge the clear level of talent Miyahara possesses, but it's impossible to consider any of his matches being better than merely 'good' when he just insists on never, ever doing anything unique after all these years. Miyahara always forces his opponents to work his exact style of match down to the letter, and he never allows them to put any of their own flair to it. Miyahara just says to his opponents: 'NO. Here's the plan -- I headbutt you multiple times outside the ring, then I hit my lesser signature moves like my big boots and dropkicks, then I start spamming my knees and german suplexes a million times all while pulling goofy faces and doing over-the-tops taunts, and maybe I'll sell my leg being damaged for all of 5 seconds ... oh and yeah you just blast me with a few of your big moves every now and then while I continue only hitting and teasing more knees and german suplexes. Then I guess one of us hits the other hard enough before hitting their finisher to get the win, idk something like that lol'. It's a shame that AJPW doesn't have a more well-rounded ace, since Zeus could have truly shined here. He still looked good with his great confidence and the impact with which he delivered his signature strikes and power moves, but he was still only wrestling a Miyahara match, so he couldn't do anything too special. There was a good pace in the final few minutes, as per usual for Miyahara's matches, but the strict formulaic nature made it all feel quite hollow. ***1/4"
[8.0] "Yeah, that was a shoterned remake of their final last year but it stills great. Good brawling outside the ring and great intensity. Storytelling was on point though. I was just surprised by Zeus's victory in fact, I was waiting Miyhara's taking his revenge."
[6.0] "The pace of this match was a little weird and it didn't click with me. Kento's taunting is too much in my opinion. There were some good exchanges but I was expecting more from this two."
[8.0] "This was the match up I was most looking forward to from this year's Champions Carnival. It didn't quite live up to some of their others, but overall a very good match. Recommended."
[8.0] "These guys can't have a bad match and this was a great main event. With that being said it doesn't live up to or surpass their previous best matches."
[8.0] "This is for me an awesome main event and the best match of the show, even if I prefered their Carnival final in 2020. This is well paced, very good in terms of in ring and storytelling. Zeus and Miyahara can't have a bad match together. Miyahara's Piledriver on the apron was fantastic, like Zeus' Larriats and Chops in this match. Zeus' attempt of his submission was so intelligent, even if it's a little detail. The only thing I didn't like in this match, and what makes my rating lower than the Carnival final of last year is that when Miyahara countered Zeus' Splash with his knees, selled a lot then returned with Knee Strikes like nothing. But except that, it stills an excellent main event. ****"
