Chris Benoit vs. The Taskmaster

[7.0] "This Benoit/Sullivan feud was intense, with real life imitating art behind the scenes. This is basically a rehash of their superior Great American Bash 1996 match, albeit a shorter version. Still fun to watch."

[9.0] "This was definitely my favorite match match of the night, a chaotic and wild sprint between Sullivan and Benoit as they fight their way through the bathroom once again in a crazy brawl. These two had tremendous chemistry."

[7.0] "I wasn't looking forward to seeing more of these two, but this match brought me joy. Peewee in the urinal, Jimmy taking a trash can to the head, Dillinger getting a beer soak, and for some reason Bobby Eaton doing crowd control. This is bananas. I'd have given it a higher rating but the finish bothered me. Why would the referee have a problem with Sully using the megaphone as a weapon? I dunno. Rasslin."

[7.0] "Good brawl that added even more heat to the feud with Woman cracking a chair over Sullivan's head. Entertaining stuff."

[4.0] "These two had far too many brawls, and most of them weren't much good. If you find refs being knocked into toilets funny, you'll probably enjoy this, but it just felt incongrous in a match with such supposedly high stakes. The tension between Benoit and Sullivan was real, as the story we saw of his wife ending up with Benoit was happening offscreen, which even at the time made it a bit tasteless. Benoit was wasted in a match like this, but Sullivan by this point couldn't really do much else."

[6.0] "A pretty crazy brawl here, even by today's standard. The bathroom spot was brilliant. It's no secret these two would go on to have an even more brutal brawl, but I thought what we got here was still worthwhile in spite of its short runtime. [***]"

[5.0] "Not a very good match, it's entertaining for a nice short bit, the bathroom brawl is a little funny, but this isn't a must watch."
