He and Homicide have a fantastic big-move-exchange near the end, and while the interference finish was frustrating at least the crowd reacted to it with appropriate rage."

[9.0] "Homicide vs. Matt Hardy in 2005 was a wild, chaotic clash that felt personal from the opening bell. This wasn't a polished, technical showcase--it was a gritty, emotionally charged brawl. Homicide brought his trademark intensity, laying into Hardy with stiff shots and a sense of urgency that made the match feel real. Hardy, still fresh off his WWE departure, leaned into the hostility and wrestled with something to prove. The crowd was volatile, and the match reflected that--messy at times but undeniably compelling. It was less about moves and more about mood, and both guys sold the story with conviction."

[7.0] "Another pretty good match from Matt Hardy in ROH. His pacing and match structure definitely resembles a WWE bout more than what we'd traditionally see in ROH, but it's interesting seeing Homicide wrestle a slightly different style to what he usually would, and he does quite well at this. The more deliberate pacing does seem to work, as the crowd really bite on a nearfall that Homicide gets with the Diamond Cutter, despite how rare it is that he actually ever puts anybody away with one. I don't mind the finish, personally, as it makes sense considering Hardy is heading back to WWE so had limited options to work with. I did also find it amusing that the commentators were discussing Homicide receiving call from Edge giving him some added incentive to inflict some damage on Hardy. Nothing mind blowing, but it's entertaining to see something a little different from ROH."

[8.0] "This was a very good match. Once again, Matt Hardy delivers in a Ring of Honor match. This time it was against Homicide, who was involved in a post match attack on Jay Lethal after his match with fellow Rottweilers tag team partner Low Ki in a two on one assault. Matt Hardy would make the save for Lethal, and would wrestle Homicide in a really good match. The one blemish was the finish, in which Low Ki came out to try to screw over Hardy, but Lethal came down to stop it and take the chain away that Homicide was going to use. Then Matt got the roll up on Homicide for the win. ***3/4"
