Diese mentale Instabilität ist mir im Match selbst aber arg präsent, so dass selbst Gradwell sein Handeln danach ausrichtet. Die Story ist zwar erkennbar, Dragunov weiterhin als tendenzielle Lose Cannon zu präsentieren, für mich ist er aber nicht der Typ dafür. Das Match selbst ist passabel, es sollte aber noch deutlich mehr drin sein, vielleicht liegt es aber auch an Gradwell selbst. |

| 11 | 16.12.2021 | arrancar | 5.0 | This had some good moments but suffered from two big issues that held it back. Firstly, the excessive weapon usage was very annoying and underwhelming. Maybe one or two weapon spots max looked good, with the others all looking weak or just too cheesy and generic to take seriously. Secondly, the massive amount of melodrama and overacting from both men was really grating. Dragunov usually goes right up to the line of clownish goofiness before settling down right before, but he definitely crossed it a few times here as he attempted to express his deranged anger with Gradwell. The worst part was when he hoisted the steel steps up over his head and began pulling crazy faces to imply he was going to drop them on Gradwell (the guy who had been taking cheap shots at Dragunov and was an absolute heel), but Gradwell just began begging for forgiveness and apologising, so Dragunov stupidly showed mercy and just gave up on attacking him with the stairs, opening himself up to yet another cheap-shot attack in the process. I hate when the faces look immensely stupid like Dragunov looked there. That was even more annoying than Dragunov's overacting. Gradwell's overacting was even worse, since he gave the most insincere faces to express his shock and fear towards Dragunov, and it was therefore impossible to take him seriously. Their actual wrestling exchanges were all fine but nothing special, and heavily overshadowed by these two aforementioned issues. There was also of course the issue that it was obvious going in the Gradwell wouldn't be beating Dragunov, and nothing he did the entire match caused me to change that opinion. **3/4 |

Gradwell doesn't want to chop him because it'll turn Ilja into Frankenstein, I guess, but right after Gradwell realizes he shouldn't chop Dragunov, he... chops Dragunov across the face to no effect. Add in the cliche WWE announcing (it's all perfectly legal! ) and the particularly terrible sounding piped-in crowd noise, and this is a good example of how WWE really shoots itself in the foot. |

The Dragunov's character is still under construction, so in some points of the match it may be confusing. The ending of the match was a dissappointment but not that much to consider it a failure. Taking that points away, it was a solid and great match. |

First of all, I have to admit this match was very brutal and for the stipulation I loved that aspect, I loved some big moves executed by Dragunov and Gradwell like the multiples German Suplexes outside of the ring by Dragunov. For me, the ending was not good, and moreover, during the match, Dragunov showing compassion to Gradwell when he says he is sorry, and when the weeklies are showing a progressive heel turn by Dragunov was not logical to me. I still really enjoyed it. ***1/2 |

Dragunov's performance was absolutely brilliant but it's becoming a habit, I feel like I'm saying that every time I see him in action, but this time even more so. It was probably his best match since his legendary bout with WALTER and he was simply awesome here, his selling was something else. He was crying at each spot he took and I felt really sorry for him, he's one of the best sellers in history and it's crazy the emotions he can give off. He can make ordinary matches special. That's not to overlook Gradwell who was a ruthless heel here, and put on a remarkable performance as well. These two told a good story with some great spots, and it was definitively a tremendous main event. |
