[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. The year prior, AJ Styles and Jerry Lynn helped put the X-Division on the map in a feud that also involved Low Ki. This was for the NWA Championship and it was pretty cool to see the pioneers of the X-Division wrestle for the world title. Even though it was less than 10 minutes, they managed to have a fun match. Jerry Lynn bladed off of a slingshot into the steel steps help sell the match. The only thing that I didn't like about the match was the constant interference of Trinity, who came to the with with AJ Styles. Trinity constantly interfering in the match also made referee Rudy Charles look like a complete idiot for not doing anything about it, even when she pulled him out of the ring when he was counting the pin attempt. I can see why the fans boo Rudy Charles as much as they do when he's announced as the referee for a big match. ***1/2"

[8.0] "I love seeing this two facing each other. They have great chemistry and are two of the best wrestlers on the company. Jerry Lynn's aggressiveness adds a lot to the match, as well as the great blading job he did. The match starts with AJ taunting Lynn and Lynn slapping him. AJ's selling through out the match was excellent. All their sequences and reversals were very good, for example the monkey flip into a tilt a whirl backbreaker by Lynn. Then Lynn gets busted open after being sent against the stairs. Then they got back to the ring, where Lynn hits a cool TKO for a good nearfall. Then Lynn tris to hit the cradle piledriver, but Trinity pulls out the referee. AJ recovers, hits a nasty brainbuster. Then he tries to hit the Styles Clash, but Lynn counters it into a backdrop driver. Then Trinity distracts the referee. AJ uses this to hit a neckbreaker onto a steel chair and the Styles Clash to win the match. Very good encounter between this two, as you could expect."

[7.0] "Underrated match between these two with a very bloody Jerry Lynn in it. Trinity interfered here and there and it could have used some more time to have been an even stronger match but one of AJs best defenses of his first NWW title reign."

Lynn blades very deply after hitting the steps and probably bleeds more than Raven and Douglas combined in the main event. AJ giving Lynn the Styles Clash while covered in his blood is quite the visual. Great match."
