This was the earliest big match I've seen Adam Cole had and he showed a lot of promise here in this match. Since he was the babyface, he didn't go after the ribs too much, but as the match went on, he began to go after them more to try to win. Davey also showed some nice aggression in this match, something he was really good at doing. Davey won, but in a show of respect, he gave a nice endorsement to Adam Cole. ****1/4 |

He wrestles a more cagey, aggressive style, hitting a back drop driver to Cole on the entrance ramp early on and demanding the ref to count him out. I always enjoy seeing this more vicious side out of Richards where it seems like he's trying to maim his opponent. Cole, being the whitemeat babyface at the time, seemed reluctant to go after the injured ribs, but finally goes after the midsection late in the match, resulting in several near-falls. |

Davey war etwas angeschlagen. Unfassbar das es kein weiteres Singles Match zwischen den beiden gab. Sehr gutes ROH World Title Match (****). |
