I'm confused as to why and how Ric Flair got put in charge of the nWo and can just insert Booker T into the group as if he's running it. Austin fights with spirit here, defeating both Show and Flair, even after X-Pac gets involved."

Plus some weird logic here and there. The character work in the match is very good, the match itself is just kind of meh."

[6.0] "i enjoyed this match honestly it's just such a weird storyline and match. Like 2 of the greatest of all time ric flair and stone cold are in a match and feud together and it isn't anywhere near memorable or talked about because it such a secondary feud that no body cares for. The big show and ric flair pairing isn't awful and it does work pretty well it's just a little bit random. Stone cold is the mvp of this match he's working a great match here i'm just not sure why they keep having him try and put on the figure 4 leg lock in what world will stone cold ever put a submission on and why does it make any sense here? Enjoyed the brawl before the match alot. It's just so confusing why is big show in the NWO and why does he work with flair. And then x pac comes out and trys to help big shoe and ends up eating a stunner resulting in a stone cold win. Which isn't needed this should've been a win for flair and big show it legit just would have made actual sense. Solid enough match 3.25 stars"

For the first few minutes almost nothing happened wrestling-wise, he was just mocking both of his opponents and still got one of the biggest reactions of the night. Flair was great, his stuff still looked good at his age and Big Show worked nicely as a big man. An easy to watch contest, nothing wrong here."

[7.0] "***1/2 (7/10) You could definitely see Ric Flair slowly regaining all of the out-of-this-world confidence he had so infamously lost prior to his match with Taker at X-8. Austin came out like a machine, countering Flair and Show's initial offense with his ruthless methods of attacking. I honestly think this match would've proved to be a mild classic had it been a singles match between Ric and Steve. Not to say that Big Show hurt the match, though! He was just kind of there to make the odds slimmer for the rattlesnake. This was mostly Flair and Austin's fight, and a well fought fight as well."

It was clear he was struggling to move by this point, and Big Show wasn't that much better - when a mid-fifties Flair is carrying the match that's not a great sign. Decent sports entertainment I guess, and the crowd certainly enjoyed it, but overall it dragged and doesn't really hold up."

[4.0] "Meh. I just never felt a spark from this, despite Austin giving a better effort and overall energy than he did in a lot of other matches at this time. Austin carried this for the most part, but it's still ric flair and big show in a handicap match in 2002, lol"
Ruthless Attitude wrote on 14.06.2023:
[6.0] "It's pretty slow in places, but it was entertaining because of Austin's antics, X-Pac's interference backfiring and the stunner fest at the end. Sadly this was Austin close to the end of his career even though fans didn't know it at the time as he would leave WWE shortly after this."

[6.0] "This was actually pretty fun. Austin did stuff to pop the crowd like doing a deep woo and push ups. People went nuts and I loved it. Flair was great as working as a heel and Big Show pulled his weight. This went way too long though and really lost me at points. ***1/4"
