Back to back botched powerbombs, Scott Hall constantly interfering and taking some of the most unconvincing bumps you'll ever see, Kevin Nash predictably turning on Hardy, and Macho Man showing up to emote and do nothing. Yeah this kinda stunk."

And he really does deliver a very decent work rate, taking bumps, dishing it out and doing everything to ensure that his title defense doesn't look like a fluke result. But that's exactly what it ends up being, because if you bring Hall & Nash of all people into the match, who decided such a groundbreaking encounter in 2004 with their 96 coolness, then you're doing a lot wrong in the booking department. The two Jeffs do a good deal, the impression that sticks at the end sweeps a lot of commitment under the carpet. Just rounded up."

I'm not sure how many people in the arena were shocked with the finish as it didn't seem very surprising. My favorite spot of the match is when Hardy places the ladder upside down and traps Jarrett inside of it and squeezes him in it like clamps. Nash also takes a nasty looking bump where it looks like the top of the ladder comes crashing down on his head outside of the ring. 3 stars."

Both wrestlers were clearly working hard and doing their best to motor through things so that they could get everything in before the pay per view window closed, but this was not a good match and reminded me a bit of the Sabu Vs Sandman match from ECW November to Remember 1997 at points (although this match thankfully wasnt as bad as that one)"

I enjoy the Jarrett main event formula more than most but for their first proper PPV they obviously felt they needed a hook so went for a ladder match. Jeff Hardy puts in an all timer of bad performance in this, lazy half arsed and mistimed spots all over the shop and there is very little Jarrett can do to save it within this format. Hardy doesn't sell a thing and just gets up to move to the next crap spot after spot. We get a bit of of Outsiders interference and a swerve."

Admitedly, they should have been given more time, but they did good with what they had, as we got the standard Ladder spots executed well. The ending was a significant letdown with Nash's turn being poorly executed and overshadowed by Savage's debut. Savage's debut on the other hand was lost in the multiman brawl that was happening in the ring. TNA tried do so much in so little time and it didn't deliver."

The constant interference from Hall led to some pretty funny botches and wasn't as obnoxious as I thought it would be. But just when it was going well we get a predictable and obnoxious Russo swerve."

So many exciting wrestlers and options on the roster and this version of Jeff Jarrett is ruling as king and dulling the shine off the star of Jeff Hardy. Easily the worst ladder match of Jeff Hardy's career. Probably 2nd worst match of Jeff Hardy's PPV career. However, to be clear, I don't think Hardy should shoulder the blame and responsibility on this one. This was poorly booked and planned."
