Akio Sato & Takashi Ishikawa vs. Ashura Hara & Mighty Inoue

[6.0] "This is a defense of Hara and Inoue's All Asia Tag Team titles. Everyone gives solid performances here; this is probably one of the better Sato matches on tape. As with a lot of matches from this time, the holds-to-spots ratio might be a little far in the former direction for more modern sensibilities, but I bought into them as about establishing control. And it builds to a respectable deep stretch with some good stuff. It ends in double countout, but an uncut All Asia defense, especially a native vs native one, was still a relatively rare occurrence on All Japan TV at this point, and as such I'm too grateful for its existence to really get worked up about that. ***1/4"
