2019.04.2021Target5.0A mediocre match, definitely not worthy of this level. This match is really hard to watch, it's boringly constructed. Plus, the girls added a nirfoll, which looked ridiculous in this state. The fans were silent for the entire match, and then they gave a gasp. This nirfoll deserves better in the match. Maika handled Utami's arm the entire match, but for some reason, other than the emphasis on handling, it didn't do anything. Utami grabbed the arm a couple of times, but nothing more. Definitely don't recommend this match.

2413.03.2021cataclysm3.0This might be the most boring Stardom match I have ever watched. It feels to me like Utami is struggling to create structurally good matches. It starts off with Maika and Utami having a boring grappling sequence for about 10 minutes where nothing happens. The middle and closing stretch of the match are equally boring without the cool athletic stuff or continuity such as arm or leg work that normally fills these periods in a typical epic puro style main event. This match is a slog and felt more like 50 minutes instead of 24. The work in this match is fine these are two competent wrestlers, but this match is an abomination. Utami said she wanted to raise the value of the Red Belt, but with matches being booked like this it will be an uphill battle.

2605.03.2021gav268.0A solid but unspectacular match, the story of Utami reign so far. It was a very methodical match, but some aspects of it were pretty good. Utami left arm and Maika back were the main focus points, their selling was ok for the majority. Even though the result was predictable, I thought they did a good job of building Maika as a potential threat, but I have to say the finish was very anticlimactic. ****

2801.03.2021boymeetsworld7.0Expectations for STARDOM Main Events and Title Matches are extremely high, and while this match didn't set the world on fire, it was a slow-paced, mechanically well worked match with a simple story. Both wrestlers are still 'trying to be cool' with an emphasis on 'trying', so between the moves this match wasn't much. Maika looked like she belonged in the big match, but I don't think that she got over to the next level in defeat, even though she kicked out of a big move once. It's a job of the champion really. I wasn't annoyed by this match going so long, even though it could be shorter. I was interested by who's gonna be the next challenger... until Saya Kamitani showed up. Yeah, that was not funny. Every time Hayashishita starts talking about Red Belt's value and having best matches, it becomes less and less meaningful. It makes me want to see Mayu Iwatani win the belt back, or IWGP Women's Title to become a thing. Good Main Event, but not anywhere near last year's Anniversary Show Main Event. Gut feeling tells me that the trend of 'very good, but not great' World of STARDOM title matches will be a thing as long as Hayashishita is the champion. ***½
2926.02.2021screwokada7.0Very solid match, unfortunately I never felt it took that that next step to great. Probably around 3. 75, hoping to see these two have a better title match at some point in the future.

3408.02.2021JokerDeSilva8.0The match of the night, of course, and a damn good one highlighting Utami as the dominant Red Belt champion. Maika threw it all at her, and Utami hit right back, a war between the two that built to a fantastic climax. Utami showed a lot more energy and passion here than I've seen from her before, and while it was never really an outcome that felt in question, that certainly helped build some drama. That spin out Argentine Bomb before the ending was nasty, too, and followed up by a monstrous finish that Maika took as clean as anything.

3929.01.2021Pro wrestling fan 268.0I didn? t enjoy this match as much as the previous match, but it was good. There were many many times in the match where I thought Itami would be pinned or maika would be as well. Enjoyable match
4029.01.2021medouse9.0Very good main event. Girls did great job and beat the hell out of each other. Maika's top rope Superplex was awesome. Utami released German Suplex must have given Maika concussion. Also she finished her with absolutely devastating throw. The last 3-4 minutes of the match were phenomenal.
4129.01.2021nachodvt8.0This was very good. They have a combined three year experience, and had a 24 minute match in a big stage like the 10th Anniversary, and delivered. I agree that it took a while for it to get going, but once it did, it never stopped. Maika looked like a star, with great submissions and arm work that Utami sold really well through the match. There was a suplex that Maika took like a champ, and a superplex that was brutal. Overall it was very good, great exchanges, pace and spots. ****

4625.01.2021aguakun8.0The longest and best match of the Utami-Maika series so far. I've felt these two had trouble showing their emotions, but they were on point in this match and elevated each other. Like the previous matches, it wasn't excessively flashy, but the sharpness of the transitions and moves made it feel like a very advanced match, and there was tremendous power behind their big strikes and suplexes. ****1/4

5025.01.2021nWo-Joshi-Guy8.0I admit it took me a good while to get into this match and I often kind of zone-out of the slow start of Japanese main events (after watching the whole show in one go) and maybe their styles are too similar, but in the end I thought it was a really good match. Both wrestlers have great move-sets and they exhausted them pretty thoroughly here. I get that they want to give Utami some opponents who don't stand a chance of ending her reign to start with (with Stardom having a relatively small roster) but I thought Maika was a strange choice for a 10th Anniversary show. Anyway it was a great match and Utami hit the cleanest and most brutal looking BT Bomb finisher I have seen her do; a awesome way to finish a big match.

5424.01.2021ElPolloLoco4.0Tecnically sound but incredibly dull match with a poor structure and far too much padding. The match dragged on seemingly forever waiting for the next big move or show of strength from Maika: I fear Stardom is falling victim to the "epic 40 minutes Okada vs Sanada" format which I find absolutely dreadful. Utami is failing to convince me she's main event material and given her next two rivals are nothing to write home about (Bea Priestley and Saya Kamitani) I am beginning to really root for Giulia to put an end to this dull Red Belt reign.

5824.01.2021AfRotaker6.0This was the best match on the card and, to me, saved a rather underwhelming show. While it was no instant classic, it had some good spots, the right pacing and a good finish. Both showed they can or could be good main eventers and had alright chemistry. 6/10 breads
6024.01.2021newnoise878.0
6124.01.2021TeenageDirt5.0The match was ok, but I expected a bit more from Maika (who I think will be a great assets to any company) and Utami. I was a little disappointed when the match ended.
6224.01.2021Prestling8.0I really liked this match. It wasn't a classic but really really good. Maika showed that she's ready for the big spots & Utami is just great (****)
6324.01.2021MagnumCalifornia8.0A really good match. these 2 have great chemistry. the match was a bit boring but it was a good Utami match. ****
6424.01.2021pierreMinne8.0That match was a very good Powerhouse confrontation with big impactful moves by both wrestlers. It's my favorite Utami match since she won the title, Maika is a big project for Stardom and she showed here she is ready for a main event level match. Maika did a very good performance and impressed me a lot. ****
6524.01.2021Shadow Explosion8.0A very good main event, not on the level of past World title matches in 2020 but better than some in 2019. It really did feel like two new-ish Joshis trying to put on a good main event and to me it worked. Especially with that disgusting german from Utami where Maika landed on her head.
