[7.0] "Good six-man tag from the great Jumbo/Tenryu rivalry. Sticks out for the performance of Isao Takagi, who takes a beating and bleeds a lot whilst showing some real spirit, and Great Kabuki's vendetta against Tenryu. Even more than Jumbo he takes every chance he can to just batter Tenryu."

[6.0] "Another Jumbo & co. (we're not at Tsuruta-gun yet! ) vs Revolution six-man, and while it's not the best of the bunch it's another respectable iteration of a well-worn rivalry, with one (in my opinion) welcome wrinkle. This certainly isn't the best team on the former end on paper, but they make the most of it. Takagi especially might be divisive here, but he totally worked for me as a young underdog, and he works very well against Tenryu, looking forward to a gem of a singles match on the horizon. Jumbo/Tenryu pairing is actually the least interesting thing here. Footloose are solid supporting players. The length is a detriment in this case, but it's not a bad note to start the year on. Just don't expect this to reflect the wonders to come in post-Tenryu All Japan. ***1/4"
