[6.0] "We finally got a better look at the Mascaras-Caras pairing after their (disappointing) showing on the first day of the tour. This was more of the same as said first-day match, but with a longer runtime and better opponents, as well as Mil and Dos getting to show more of what they could do. Mascaras remained the most over luchador in Japan at the time, but it was Caras who was the standout here, pulling off some well-timed spots and being fluidic in his movements. The masked heels held up their end very well, with basic but competent offenses and some good heeling to boot. Caras picked up the win for his team with a bridging O'Connor roll, giving the luchadores the win in the PWF Cup Tag Team tourney final. [***]"
[6.0] "This is the final match of the PWF Cup tag team tournament. The first three minutes were clipped in the contemporaneous broadcast. It's been a couple years since Mascaras and the Destroyer last faced each other in All Japan, but what this match also gives us is an opportunity to see the Destroyer work against Dos Caras. And that is awesome stuff that really makes me wish they'd thought to have and/or tape a singles match between the two at some point. Cruiser is Roger Kirby, who is no Dick Beyer (and who I've been harsh on in the past), but hey, Destroyer needed somebody to be the connective tissue to make this match happen. He does hold this back, but he doesn't ruin it by any means. ***1/4"
