[10.0] "One of the hottest tag rivalries ever rages on, as the Midnight Express and the Rock 'n' Roll Express meet once again in front of a wild crowd. These two teams just had incredible chemistry, and lump Jim Cornette in as well as he always adds a lot to these matches. It's wrestling 101 here, as the heels bump and stooge huge in the beginning before using dirty tactics to grab control of the match and put the heat on the faces, and then we get the wild finishing stretch. It's so basic and yet, I think perhaps was never executed so flawlessly, the way the crowd hangs on each exchange is really phenomenal. The crowd and the wrestlers are just perfectly in sync here, every piece in place. This is pro wrestling, amazing work by all."

The heels cut off the ring until the perfect point in the match and the underneath babyfaces do just enough to get one over on the tactical smarts that the Midnight and Cornette have concocted to get a great come from behind win to pop the crowd like crazy. Excellent stuff here and it was great to see Gibson get the heat and get the hot tag to Morton when I was used to seeing it the other way around."

Cornette and the Midnight Express did what they did best as heels. I was always a Rock N Roll guy myself, but both teams were near the top of their games on this night."

This was a template babyfaces vs. heels tag team match with perfectly executed heel segment that made the hot tag actually hot. The match lasted 45 seconds after Morton got the tag, but it doesn't need to be long for the sake of long when the crowd gives the biggest reaction for the finish."

[8.0] "I thought this match was awesome. For a bit, there's some nice back-and-forth action between both teams in how they would trade momentum early on, plus the ME played their role as annoying heels in the 1st half greatly. Instead of Morton getting the heat segment done on him, they do it on Robert Gibson, and it's just as effective. This leads to a great hot tag from Ricky Morton in which he runs wild, and during this Cornette tries to get involved but ultimately fails. As with most big matches during this time the crowd erupts when the rock n roll Express gets the win.****1/4"

[10.0] "Another excellent Express vs Express match. Eaton & Condrey are great chickenshit heels for the first stretch, the live crowd are really hot for The Rock & Rolls. The heels get a nice extended heat segment on Robert Gibson, using frequent tags in and out to effectively cut the ring into the diagonal half; Eaton in particular is really working hard in this one, hitting a beautiful diving leg drop from the top, a vicious clothesline, and taking a superplex. Morton gets the hot tag, and the babyface comeback is amazing! Morton takes to both Eaton and Condrey with strikes, Cornette attempts to interject himself but is inadvertently taken out by Bobby Eaton, Morton with a sunset flip for the pinfall, while the crowd ERUPTS! Great tag team match, and very rare to see a match of this quality on a spot-show. I wish that Cornette was used a little more, but I'll take what was given. Highly recommended, good luck finding footage in good quality. *****"
