[7.0] "This was a pretty good match. It's safe to say that despite all the talent both men have, AJ Styles and Rob Van Dam have never had the strongest chemistry. While they haven't had any terrible matches that I'm aware of, they haven't had any great matches either. That being said, they do still try to put on a good performance, and even though there were a couple of small botches and even a quick mid match promo from RVD, they still managed to have a good showing. The draw for the live crowd was the special guest referee was Jerry Lynn, a man who is connected to both men's careers, and I'd argue elevated their game and made them better workers after doing programs with them. While the finish was not ideal, it didn't take away too much from the match. ***1/2"
[7.0] "Overall RVD and AJ Styles delivered a very solid match. There wasn't much I could find fault with, overall a solid match. However, there were a few flaws that didn't really bother me that much (I'm mainly talking about the rolling thunder repeating). And that ending, I know that's how Bullet Club works, but I'd rather have a clean pinfall."
[5.0] "Surprisingly mediocre considering the people involved. There were some nice bits here and there but Styles and Van Dam just didn't click. I also expected Lynn to get involved in some way but he didn't really do anything and just acted like a normal ref."
