11.08.2025 | InfiniteWick | 8.0 | Super performance here by both guys. Lee's work here is great and something I really wish he kept in WWE. Takagi is great here too, a super Babyface. Takagi and Lee work a pretty fast-paced David v. Goliath, with a few inaccuracies. Both guys have the characteristics of their David v. Goliath counterparts. Takagi is a powerhouse and Lee is very agile. His hurricanrana and dive here look the best I've ever seen him do it. Lee controls much of the early going and super whoops Takagi's ass. Takagi is able to get back into the ring, and catch him off guard for a bit but Lee is still able to take the match back. It all kinda changes when Takagi starts hitting lariats, which Lee tries to brush off but you can see it's messing him up. Takagi is able to land a few big moves and gets a few good counters in, moves he's been hit with previously in the match. This all changes the course of the match and Takagi wins. Not much negative to say, I do wish Lee and Takagi both tried to break out of more moves, especially the one where Lee is on the top rope with Takagi. It's not super dramatic and it never reaches a super high gear or anything, but what is here is great. It's such an effective use of time and I'm not sure they could have gotten any better with more time. [***]
01.06.2025 | KA10 Meltzer | 7.0 | This was a pretty good fast paced match. This was fun to watch, and I my only complaint is that I wish they had gone longer. 3.5/5

02.01.2025 | NoOne2 | 10.0 | It had very little time, but it was a really great match. During the match, very heavy blows were exchanged between the two wrestlers, and Brodie was able to hold the momentum of the match with his speed and power at the beginning of the match. But Shingo was able to make a very good comeback and we saw a fast-paced match with heavy blows.

26.05.2024 | Mizzle Assault Ant | 9.0 | Fantastic match just a bit over 10 minutes, the strikes were hard and the energy was huge, and Brodie bringing the table into play created pure chaos, that bump Shingo took was nutty. More awesome work by Brodie, RIP.

02.05.2021 | Gonto03 | 6.0 | This was good but nothing spectacular. It was a nice back and forth japanese type of match. Brodie did well although a bit sloppy at times and Shingo wasn't full gas in this one, which is understandable because this was a mid-card match in a not that important show. Conclusion: satisfactory to watch; not an unmissable classic but a fun match to give it a try.
09.03.2021 | Omega JeriFlair | 9.0 | Pure wrestling fun and the perfect length to tell the story they needed to tell, both guys get over... this thing works on almost every level. Not every match has to be a 40 minute Tokyo Dome marathon with a dozen false finishes to be great. This is an example of what wrestling can be in an easily consumable form. These two test how much they can dish out, how much they can endure, until one man prevails. If that is strong style, then this DG match nailed it. Plus you get to see Brodie hit a rana and a dive, shove some young boy around and be a complete bad@ss gaijin. And what more can you say about Shingo? In the post Kobashi/Misawa era, we have had some legendary Japanese workers and stars - Okada, Tanahashi, Nakamura, Ibushi, Naito to name those that are most talked about. Then there is Ishii and Shingo, who never fail to make magic in the ring. Shingo is one of the best of the best and has been for years. This breezy, hard hitting match captures that.
24.01.2021 | seriousbusiness | 6.0 | You could definitely see the talent in Brodie at this point in his career. That being said this is an alright match. A simple yet fun enough midcard match.

02.01.2021 | rainmakerpunk | 9.0 | A very exciting short and fast paced match, this was a brawl, Brodie was wrestling more flashy while still being raw, Shingo was just straight up brawling, Shingo out brawling bigger men is always great and believable
31.12.2020 | dthirdgen | 8.0 | Really good short match between two bruisers. Each gave a lot to the other in this match, and you know they would have torn down the house later in their careers given the chance.
29.12.2020 | realyoshihashi | 8.0 | It really seemed like Brodie couldn't possibly have a bad match. This was a great showing for him, the heat segments were great.
28.12.2020 | calnex | 8.0 | Shingo looked like the same beast he is in 2020. Short but really, really good match here. Brodie also showed a lot of potential. I wish he had had more matches in Japan because he would have been very successful. ***3/4
28.12.2020 | Tyler Rollins | 8.0 | the match is short but it tells a great story. Brodie Lee was the big man sent by Cima to destroy Shingo, and in fact the match follow the classic plot of a monster and the face that should survive to him. With more time we could talk about a great match but also with this duration these two had done a great contention
