Jimmy Yang, Jorge Estrada & Sonny Siaki vs. Joel Maximo, Jose Maximo & The Amazing Red

[4.0] "There's some seriously incredible high-flying action and a decent story with Siaki's ego once again on full display, but at the end of the day it's just a spotfest with no rules, and it got irritating pretty quickly. The chaotic start was fine, but then for the rest of the match there were still no tags, no referee control, and no sense of who was ever actually legal."

[7.0] "It's really wild how much time and energy TNA invested in this "discord amongst the Flying Elvises" storyline during these early events. I suppose that they probably saw a future star in Sonny Siaki, and I suppose that he did have a sort of swaggering charisma. The story advances in this match, as long as you don't think too much about it. SAT looked good here, and Amazing Red looked excellent in particular. Yang and Estrada are no slouches either, and it makes we wonder what this storyline could have been if it focused a little more on this being a pretty strong collection of in-ring workers."

[6.0] "A really interesting match, especially for it's time period. This is the kind of match where you sort of have to look at a WWE PPV from the same time period to understand why the X Division was such a game changer. Admittedly, this had the worst excesses of the mid-00s indies, too, as the Maximos were always wild about over-choreographed tag team spots. It's a weird match, because on the one hand it has a decent story going on - the building friction between the Flying Elvises and Sonny Siaki's ego - but it means that the Elvises largely leave him to fight a 3-on-1 for what feels like forever, and they can't get the job done? And then Sonny gets the pin anyway? It's a strange booking decision and kind of makes the SAT look like chumps, though Amazing Red in particular shows off his incredible in-ring abilities. Lots of good action to energize a card on the start of a show, a little sloppy and messy and with weird booking decisions. So, an early era TNA match."

[6.0] "A solid opening match for this show. I'd say this was the second best match after the main event so at least this show had a good open and close. I kinda wish they actually waited a little bit before doing this Flying Elvis story as sometimes it feels forced. For a story beat it makes sense for the other two to pull a Siaki and go to commentary. Sometimes I wish they'd stop trying to tell the story and just have a cool match; I think that could've made this one better."

[6.0] "A good and fast match so start the night. They continue the storyline of the Elvises, in which Siaki sees himself as the leader and the best wrestler, so the other two left him alone on the ring, so he gets beaten by the other team, then Estrada and Yang entered the ring, gain the momentum and did their finisher, but Siaki steals them the pinfall. The best were Red and Yang, they are really good high flyers with cool moves as the Red Star Press or the Infrared. Even if the match was a spot fest, it was fun to watch."

[7.0] "Say what you want about the fake Elvis's but they did have some decent matches. This is also very early on in Don West and his love for Red."

[4.0] "A fine enough match but nothing too impressive. It's your typical high spot heavy X-Division match with little to separate it from any other entry in the genre."

[7.0] "Good six-man tag team match between all these fun workers to open the show, they actually had quite a bit of time for a random opener like this and they proved they deserved it as they clearly worked their asses off to get the fans in the mood from the start of the event. That's how you get fans excited and make them want to stay, by showing them good wrestling and in this case the action was really enjoyable to follow during these eleven minutes. The Flying Elvises, stupid gimmick aside, were talented performers (especially Jimmy Yang) and they had a lot of great matches during that time, this one being one of them. Red had another good showing two weeks after his debut against Low-Ki, and Los Maximos were able to shine especially with that beautiful Double Spanish Fly spot. They all clicked well and the last few minutes were great."

[8.0] "These two teams worked well together, put a lot of big moves together and this match told a story of tension between the Elvises"

[6.0] "Fun little high-flying opener which advanced the story of the Elvises splitting up and put Red over really strong."

[6.0] "this is a realtvely fun little match but its nothing to special, theres some nice spots but the other five guys are nowhere near Red's level."

[9.0] "The Flying Elvises was a stupid gimmick (one that lived on with Estrada for an absurdly long time) but they did have some pretty good matches, and this one was pretty great in fact. Even bigger credit to Red and the Maximos though, they shined bright here."
