1721.05.2024uselessdollthing5.0Pretty mixed on this match. I do think that it goes on for too long, think there are some moments of padding and empty space in this match. At the same time however, there are some really great moments in this as well, in particular, the final act of this match really kicks it up a gear. I would probably like this match more if it were shorter.

2920.04.2022Mizzle Assault Ant7.0This had a lot of fun stuff in it but was too overly long and no-selly for me to see it as a classic. Just for moves it was cool but I've seen better, plus after 30 minutes of big moves you have to question if the moves are actually having any impact.
3022.02.2022Geo939.0Marufuji and KENTA impress yet again, but that's sort of the usual for them. However, what I didn't expect was for them to play the heels in this match against Hdiaka & Fujita (who I was unfamiliar with until this match). Both teams looked great and the final sequence was incredibly intense. Another incredibly exciting tag team match featuring the Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champs from NOAH.

3616.01.2021SmarkCalaway10.0This just nabs a 5 star from me. I think my main criteria for a 5 star match are that the crowd have to be into it for one thing. The action has to be good, minimal to no botches. No drawn out slow down segments, compelling action. Fluidity, which this match had so much of that it's hard to even document it all. And yeah, this is it, just fantastic work from these four guys. KENTAfuji particularly have everything: they are fantastic when on top and fantastic when in peril. They have the tools to be dickhead heels and pure babyfaces. They face Ituko Hidaka & Minoru Fujita here from Zero-One and they are equally as impressive. Fujita spends a large portion of the match as the babyface in peril and does superbly. Hidaka's submissions, strikes, moves, all very crisp. There are so many great nearfalls and unique ways that they broke up pins or countered moves. My favourite was Hidaka pushing Fujita out of the way as I think KENTA was coming in for a springboard missile dropkick. It's just incredible how fluid this match was, everything they went for, they hit. The finish also was fantastic, perfectly timed and perfectly hyped, both KENTA and Fujita look like they could win. This match also was not overbooked with false finishes and overkill which was my criticism of another highly rated match that KENTAfuji had. A perfect junior heavyweight tag match and thus 5 stars for me.

3812.07.2020Rudakov10.0Simply phenomenal/ That is a true "standard" for any other Junior division tag-team clashes. "Faster than light" speed and amazing moves with dozen of innovative spots. Every time you think the match is gonna end, it is NOT gonna end. It`s a one and only Samsara Wheel of junior tag-team wrestling. ****3/4

4123.04.2019rojay698.0This was good, but not 9 points worth of good. The last 10 minute stretch certainly fired the match up, however, this did not make up for the first 2 thirds.

4406.10.2017seriousbusiness9.0This was a nice change of pace for the unstoppable KENTA and Marufuji. I really liked how KENTA and Maru actually played heels in this match as a means to antagonize the Zero 1 fans. Honestly the first 25 minutes of this match are pretty uninteresting, but it's made up for the in the final 10 minutes as it turns into a high speed spot fest as KENTA/Marufuji tag matches tend to go. This match was just a great showing for fast paced junior style tag team action, ****1/2.

4716.10.2016jboyaquar9.0I've got to get a copy of that A Kong/Stalker match. Anyway, the finals and indeed it's the bloviating beauty, I love his voice but try him out for size at live events when he's constantly warning the crowd, 'danger, ' from nothing, from Zero-1 Max in the ring. Goodness is Hidaka/Fujita's entrance bad-ass doing the Emblem pose. Crowd is HOT for this and they haven't even started. NOAH Jr tag champs vs. Zero-1 Jr tag champs... on a NOAH canvas of course but still... Fujita's got a sturdy blue-collar face about him. He bullies KENTA early. Later on he does a rolling cradle but it's no K-Ness. Then again, it appears A Shelley stole the 'partner apply a submission, hold the head-up for the other partner to dropkick the victim' spot. Thankfully there's some Zero-1 fans in the mix so MFuji could heel-out on the ramp a bit and KENTA bow after executing the Otani leg smear on Fujita at a corner. In fact, Fujita's neck is worked over, in a sign of thinking ahead, for five minutes. The last six minutes increase in tension as the nearfalls become increasingly furious. There was even a moment when F had a STF applied on KENTA that I found possible that the hosting fed boy would tap But... a Busaiku Doomsday and a minute later, after which Fujita got one last offensive gasp, another Busaiku did the deal for KENTA. 'Speed and Stamina' I really enjoyed it but did not feel I was watching an all-time classic. A very, very, very good match that borders on ****/8. 5 but doesn't go higher for me.
