[7.0] "Good match went on a bit too long for me honestly. Starts off with Jericho and Benoit essentially double teaming Austin, with that eventually ending. Booker T goes after Stone Cold during the match, continuing the affect of WCW."

Benoit and Jericho started out being too chummy together. Thankfully, that changed and we got our first glimpse of Booker T coming in from WCW. The match was fine, but the crowd didn't seem to be into much of anything this night."

[6.0] "A very, very conflicting bout for me. On one hand, they had so much of the cliche triple threat formula of one guy playing dead for a majority of the time which got old. The match was also far too long and really kind of wore out its welcome. On the other hand, it was extremely well performed. The fatigue, selling, and desperation that wore on as the match went on sold it. Everyone was pulling out big moves and moves that weren't their typical fair too. It absolutely felt like a main event, and to Austin's credit, he did everything he could to cement Jericho and Benoit as potential main event players. He gave them a lot here very selflessly. The finish was abrupt due to Benoit breaking his neck. I feel like they probably had another 5 minutes or so to go, but just called it since he was hurt very badly. Austin covers Benoit without touching his neck, having learned from what Owen did to him years prior. If 5-10 minutes got cut from this match, and they found a way to make it more engaging without isolating someone at all times, this would have been a hidden gem of a match. As is, it is still a very good main event, but the flaws it has can't be covered up and drag it down a good deal."

[7.0] "It's a good match, but it never really felt like it was at it's full potential and it just isn't as strong as other matches in this rivalry like the tag title match that involved Triple H and the Austin v Benoit match in Benoit's hometown on SmackDown. While only the beginning of the match has the handicap match dynamic, the structure of the match is odd considering Austin is the heel because he carries a lot of the workload in this match and Benoit in particular is outside the ring for an absurd amount of time when he takes a bump on the outside and it felt like it was just Austin and Jericho fighting for quite awhile. I don't know if Benoit was injured there as I'd always thought the last bump he took where he superplexed Jericho was what caused it. It does make the pacing of the match feel very odd. Austin tapped when he got caught in both submission holds at the same time, but Hebner doesn't end the match because we don't have a winner so Benoit and Jericho finally fight each other after Austin gets attacked by Booker T. Austin somehow just wins where he crawls on top of Benoit after he landed on his head superplexing Jericho so he's being booked as a very vulnerable champion, but the ending kinda felt like it just came out of nowhere. Austin, Benoit and Jericho was always going to be at least good, but it did feel like it was missing something."

[6.0] "Fun main event, but you would've thought these three guys could've produced something a little better than what we got. They did the whole 2v1 for a little too long for my liking, and I think the match suffered for it. Seemed like they never really took it to the next level and went at a steady pace throughout the entire match. Austin & Benoit getting injured in this match is also a real bummer too, this match was a fun watch but did more harm than good. Wouldn't really recommend going out of your way to watch it, just watch the Booker T debut which is about a minute long at best, it's the only real highlight from this match."

[5.0] "A boring match, it was clear that he would start as a handicap for Steve, but the good thing was that Benoit's and Jericho alienza lasted little, ended almost at the beginning. It was also obvious that Jericho and Benoit would not win. Time was a problem, 27 minutes was an excess. I do not recommend it."

[5.0] "This triple threat match isn't offensively bad or anything, but considering the talent here it's pretty disappointing. There was really no reason for this to go 28 minutes, the action was incredibly spread thin to the point where you could hear "boring" chants which is pretty insane for a main event including these guys. The WCW invasion stuff was fun and there's some nice moments but it feels completely thrown together and they don't have any ideas of how to work the match."

[7.0] "I liked it at a lot but I can't help but feel a touch disappointed, given the names involved. I think it dragged a little bit and the finish was abrupt but I'm pretty sure Benoit got hurt pretty badly so that makes sense. But all three guys got chances to work with each other and it told a solid enough story."

[5.0] "It was way too long, especially considering the fact that they didn't really have an idea for a Triple Threat Match and as a result the third guy was spending so much time outside of the ring, that it was throwing me off. Also the finish felt like it came a little out of nowhere with Austin pinning Benoit all of a sudden. There were some highlights and the fans were into all three guys, but it would have been much better if only one of Chrises was the contender."

[7.0] "Good in ring action, if a little disjointed, by the first match in his title run and it became evident to me that Stone Cold as a heel just doesn't work. There is something weird about going back to watch this match, as Austin just isn't believable as a cowardly heel stealing the win when he had been our hero for years before. I think if you had the same exact match, but with HHH instead of Austin it would have benefited, not because he's a better performer than Austin, but because he's better at performing this role."

[5.0] "There was intrigue in this match, which was fueled by rumors about the transition of Jericho and Benoit to WCW. The Canadians performed well throughout the match, but Steve Austin, the referee and Booker T ruined it in every possible way. And... they did it. The ending looked unconvincing. Jericho and Benoit had already forced Austin to submit from the submission in front of the reyyeri, but Hebner just ignored it ... Some kind of mess, not a match. **1/2"

[7.0] "Not a bad match at all but this was a bit way too long, and the ending isn't good at all. There's a nice start with Benoit and Jericho going after Austin, that sends him to the crowd, but things get good once Benoit and Jericho start going after each other. Booker T interference genuinely came out of nowhere and him attacking Austin was cool. I get it's a top rope move but Benoit losing off of him hitting a back suplex is awful.***1/2"

The double submission on Austin was well done and the ref didn't looked like an idiot for once taking the good decision. Some other part were pretty slow and boring, Booker T intervention and first WWF apperance made no point and the finish was so bad."

[7.0] "Was strange to see a triple threat with two faces and one heel with the faces ganging up on the heel making him the underdog, made for an interesting dynamic. This was pretty enjoyable but it was mainly just several one on one matches for the most part which is lazy booking for a triple threat and led to me becoming disinterested at times. I loved the Booker t interference as brought some more excitement to the match. Jericho had a beautiful moonsault and there was some good exchanges throughout this match. A good match that picked up more by the end despite the ending itself which was very poor, my rating ***1/2"
