[7.0] "Classic KENTAfuji action here with some amazing quick and hard strikes as well as crisp technical work supplied by Sugiura and Kashin. This was not the best work of KENTAfuji from this era, with the chemistry not quite being there between the two teams, but there were some really cool spots and overall the action was great. There were some botches in the last few minutes along with the ending being quite a bad botch, but this was really good fun overall. Marufuji got the win with a Shiranui on Sugiura, and while this certainly was not perfect, it was a really good matchup."

[8.0] "Great match. KENTAfuji were their usual world-class selves. KENTA brought his stiff strikes and Marufuji gave an especially great performance with his general acrobatics and spots. Sugiura was also really impressive. He was the difference maker for his team. I loved his interactions with Marufuji, they had my favorite spots in the match. The sunset-flip powerbomb by Marufuji and the Tombstone/suplex combo by Sugiura. Kashin was the odd man out. He was having a comedy match and didn't bring anything to the match with his in-ring work. But he was funny. ****"

[6.0] "Great technical bout. Some of the spots were pretty cool. I don't think I have the context for Kendo and Sugiura's relationship. Not sure why they were doing comedic bits in a title match but whatever. All in all, solid action but not the best from KENTAfuji."

[7.0] "Pretty good match but certainly not one of KentaFuji's best tag matches. The champs' mix of Marufuji's flashy high-flying and Kenta's stiff striking made for a great dynamic as always. Sugiura and Kashin constantly being at odds for the sake of comedy was admittedly a bit funny, but I would have far preferred more serious wrestling from them. The match picked up once the run-on sequences started and Kashin finally got out of the way. Sugiura's work was brutal when he finally got momentum going. The standard KentaFuji pacing and creativity in the final 10 minutes was once again very exciting, even with the few awkward moments that occurred. ***1/4"

[9.0] "I loved this match. I found Kashin's comedy and his interactions with Sugiura to be hilarious. Indeed, Kentafuji don't play off of it (aside from a spot where Kashin just boots KENTA in the balls when he's doing his shoot punches, which again I found hilarious) but I think it's better that way. The illustration they're going for is that Kentafuji have their shit together whilst Kashin and Sugiura are too busy fighting with each other. The in-ring action of course was great too, nothing less to expect from all four men. The finish of the match was clearly supposed to be the SSP which Marufuji woefully botched, which hurt my rating of it as I was going to give it **** 3/4 otherwise. Thus **** 1/2"

Marufuji? s entrance was good, in fact the entrances were the best part of this match. Total disappointment. Expected this to totally bang and it just fell flat. **"

[8.0] "I loved the structure of the match and the performances here were good too. KENTAfuji was the best tag team in the world at this point in time and they both bring their A game in this match. Sugiura amazingly kept up and had a great match too. My issue with the match though was that the two team were telling different stories. The champs played it completely straight but the challengers wanted to have a comedy match. There was some funny spots provided by Kendo Kashin here but neither KENTA or Marufuji played off it in any way. Had the challengers been more serious or the champions played more off the comedy aspect this would have been a classic. ***3/4"

[4.0] "A pretty solid match, but definitely pretty disappointing too. KENTA always played the FIP role so well in these KENTAFuji tags, but here they went with Marufuji as the FIP instead & he sure wasn't as good as KENTA when it comes to that. The match also suffered from going a bit too long, as between the segments it lost lots of energy. A solid match, but very forgettable. **"

[9.0] "Well that certainly ended on a high. Some of the goofy comedy from Kashin was frustrating, but there were a huge amount of markout moments as the match came to an end…so that’s how I justify such a high rating. I’d like to have seen a couple of spots done in a different order. The powerbomb/Shiranui combo should’ve been the finish in my opinion, so switch that spot with the Super Shiranui that won it…dunno what anybody else thinks about that."
