[4.0] "Every time I see Jericho in the WCW I get a little bit sad. He's one of, if not THE, best all-around wrestler in the WCW, yet he never gets the real push he deserves because men with bigger heads get pushed ahead. Konnan is boring as hell and Jericho does what he can."
[5.0] "Well, Jericho did what he could here and it was a decent match, especially considering Konnan being involved. Very simple, but Chris kept Konnan at bay, so he wouldn't do anything stupid like countless submission attempts that were usually killing the audience."
[5.0] "Finally, we get two wrestlers who are over in a match that has a reason to be on a PPV. It only gets seven minutes and has bits and pieces of quality but is less than the sum of its parts."
[3.0] "Jericho grabs a headlock and they crisscross into a dropkick from Konnan that gets two, but Jericho dropkicks him in turn. He misses a cross body and Konnan clotheslines him to the floor, but Jericho sends him into the railing and then the post. Back in, a suplex and the arrogant pin gets two. Jericho hits the chinlock and chops away in the corner. To the top, but he takes too much time and hits the foot. Konnan comes back with the rolling clothesline and an Alabama Slam for two. Jericho fires back with a quick Lionsault for two and K-Dog bails, he tricks Jericho into splatting on the stairs when he tries his flying splash. Back in, that gets two. Jericho reverses to the Liontamer and then redirects into a catapult instead. The ref is bumped and Jericho nails Konnan with the belt to draw a pretty good face pop, and that gets two. Konnan finally comes back and gets tequila sunrise. Felt like it was over before it got going."
[4.0] "There are many things you can point to that show why WCW collapsed, and their failure to give Jericho a massive push is one of them. He was (still is) more talented and entertaining than most wrestlers, and certainly than the vast majority of the NWO. Instead, he was having a feud with the mediocre Konnan rather than the Goldberg feud that was originally mooted. Jericho is checked out by this point, which isn't surprising, and Konnan was usually lazy so this was a competent but dull match."
[3.0] "I think at this point it was becoming clear that no matter how hard Jericho worked, WCW was just not interested in pushing him past a certain level, and to be honest would probably be dropping him farther down the card if anything, which is just nuts to me after he had one of the most entertaining years ever. I can't say Konnan isn't over but this match was not good and it wasn't Jericho's fault."
