[6.0] "After an entertaining opening minute, the match then ground to a near halt as both men mostly engaged in technical work while only throwing out the occasional stiff strike. Their technical work was fine enough, but it was disappointing for them to waste that initial burst of energy and just coast by for so long. It wasn't until the final 5 minutes of this 25-minute match that their exchanges truly came across as exciting once again. They did well pacing that final sprint and delivering some nice offence in that period, but at least 3/4ths of this match was very tame. They were trying to go for the slow build-up into an exciting final 1/4th, but instead it felt like they were just padding time before finally giving us what we knew they were capable of. ***"

[8.0] "Could only watch a clipped version of this match, so it's probably better than my current rating. From what footage they showed though this was a really great match. KENTA and Marufuji are two guys Sugiura just has incredible chemistry with even going back to their junior days, ****1/4."
