Dan Spivey & Sid Vicious vs. Road Warrior Animal & Road Warrior Hawk

[5.0] "No one should have high expectations for this one, as the road warriors were pretty one-note in the ring and the skyscrapers were too green to be capable of much. It's a lot of clotheslines and guys slamming into each other and not going down. The heat for this is a little long too, which is too bad because otherwise it was a decent enough match for these two teams. I guess they didn't want to hurt either team with a loss here so its a DQ finish. These two teams would not meet ever again, which is probably for the best."

[3.0] "Skyscrapers are terrible so this was never gonna be a good match. They look green and awkward. Match is slow, but at least it doesn't go on for too long."

[5.0] "Very long for a Road Warriors match, especially against a boring Spivey and green Sid, but I think the crowd helped it work. The heat was great and despite Sid not being able to do much of anything wrestling-wise at this point, when he comes in to confront the Roadies there's undoubtedly a little spark there and it's no wonder WCW wanted to push him to the moon."

[5.0] "The heat and physical firepower are enough to keep this engaging, but it's not without lulls. At just shy of 12 minutes, this matchup is stretched pretty thin, particularly for the ultimately unsatisfying finish. It's certainly no masterpiece mechanically either but again, Philly is with them throughout. **1/2"

[2.0] "This was incredibly boring, all to get to an unsatisfying DQ win for the supposed greatest team in history. Just more junk in the catalog of the Road Bore-iors."

[7.0] "The schmoz finish was a bummer, but good big man tag team match otherwise. Just 4 big meaty men slapping meat. The crowd was hot for this which definitely helps. The DQ finish wasnt appreciated, but I guess at the time it worked to keep the Skyscrapers unpinned"

[6.0] "Some pretty good big men stuff, especially when Sid was in the ring. Spivey mainly felt like a guy who was supposed to take bumps for The Road Warriors, but because of that whenever Vicious was confronting any of the babyfaces it felt huge. The finish was meh, but at least we got a hot tag."

[5.0] "Pretty mediocre tag match if you ask me, big guys going at it which was cool to watch, but the action was pretty slow and boring a lot of the time."

"This was better than it had any right to be. Typical big man match with the narrative that even the Road Warriors were not big enough to march Sid and Dan. It was slow and rest holdy in parts but more than a couple of spots delivered an impact well. DQ finish spoilt it also as it was just starting to climax into what could have been a great finish."

[5.0] "I thought this was fine. It was nothing special and Sid clearly looked green, but it was an enjoyable little heavyweight brawl even if there wasn't much that really stood out about it. The finish was pretty lame, but I still liked the match overall."

[7.0] "Nah, this rocked. As a Behemoths Collide match this was great, as these guys were throwing bombs as if there wouldn't be a shitty finish at the end. While I think both teams would work better with smaller opponents to toss, seeing how they operated together was fascinating."

[4.0] "This was a difficult watch. The Road Warriors are only interesting when they're throwing smaller teams around, and the Skyscrapers aren't even that. Somewhere, Big E chubbed a bit, though."

[4.0] "I knew I wasn't going to enjoy this one that much coming in, and I was entirely correct in my assumption. The Skyscrapers are not the right guys to pair with the Road Warriors to get a good match; I get the appeal of pairing the titans; but like a lot of other times it doesn't work out for a good match. At least the crowd was hot for this."

[6.0] "The crowd was still into the Road Warriors here and the Skyscrapers were massive individuals. Four big men just pounding on each other made for a fun match. This crowd loved this clash and I can't say I blame them or understand where all of these low ratings are coming from. This was a clash between behemoths. Stupid finish, though."

[6.0] "Just a battle of the titans. An epic battle between 4 powerhouses, albeit with a disappointing finish."

[7.0] "Underrated match. Not a workrate classic by any means but a nice brawl between two big man teams. The finish drags it down a bit IMO."

[4.0] "This match really wasn't very good. Some nice moments here and there and as always the Road Warriors entrance was cool but that's about it **"

[5.0] "This isn't a terrible match by any stretch, but its definitely not the finest showing for the Skyscrapers. Pretty bad finish to it all, but there's some fun moments in here"

[5.0] "Didn't think this was to bad, obviously Spivey and Sid were still inexperienced here so the longevity of the match got them a bit, but i thought they held there own here against LOD and the crowd loved it as well"

[4.0] "It's not that this was terrible, but to say the Skycrapers weren't ready to go ten minutes would be the understatement of the decade. It exposed them a little bit, with Sid in partciular being nervous, but it was still decent enough. I've seen way worse, this was okay and perfectly acceptable. [**]"

[4.0] "This was just a match. Spivey was just totally unremarkable and despite Sid looking awesome his actual wrestling acumen at this time a least just wasn't good."

[1.0] "Who in god's name would give 11 minutes to Sid in 1989? 11 seconds, sure, but... well, this was not too good, a lot of Sid looking around and the crowd and looking, in my opinion, totally lost, and nobody else does much of interest for the whole run of the match."
