There's always an interesting thing/s in the beginning that makes me be positive on them.. but they don't really continue with those ideas, they just do different stuff.. and that's why it's the same, they didn't added anything new for their pairing so far, watchable obviously but not something I'd go back to, like their previous two. But still solid enough matches tho. |

The first half of the first fall was beautifully crafted wrestling, but they definitely get a bit sluggish after that. They both slow down and are breathing heavy, and these two are cardio machines, so it struck me as odd. It quickly starts turning more into a strike-based match with some suplexes, which isn't their style. Now, this is still an excellent contest, so I'm not knocking them, but it was maybe slightly below the high expectations you might have for these two. |

Simplicity is its best attribute. |

Cole say's it can't be England and Heyman tells him to shut up. Mat wrestling to start and Benoit goes for the cross face but Angle gets the ropes. German suplex and the diving headbutt give Benoit the first fall. They fight outside and Benoit goes to the steps. Angle takes over then Benoit fights back with the German suplexes and he misses the diving headbutt. Angle goes to work and Benoit counters into a cross face but Angle gets out of it then Benoit gets a small package out of nowhere to win. Strange match but very good. Benoit pulls the medals out of his pants and Angle is about to cry. |

Natürlich sind beide kaum dazu in der Lage, gemeinsam ein schwaches Match abzuliefern, aber der Funke will nicht so wirklich überspringen, so wie er es sonst tut. Die Medaillen-Story ist ein passender Rahmen, es ist aber auch ein Damokles-Schwert, dass es offensichtlich bleibt, dass diese Story heute kein Ende finden wird. Befriedigende Begegnung, wäre aber auch deutlich mehr drin gewesen. |
