[5.0] "Bret was totally checked out at this point and even always energetic DDP couldn't get his old self out of him. It's not a bad match, as both guys' basics were obviously good and their work was very solid, but it's not as exciting as it could have been a few years earlier."

[3.0] "A totally paint by the numbers match that would have been somewhat acceptable as a Thunder main event, but was not something youd want to close out a major Pay Per View event. What's odd about it is that these two had an awesome Nitro match where DDP won the belt originally, but they sadly couldn't recreate it here and didn't seem that motivated to do so either"

[5.0] "Fitting for this lousy ppv. DDP walks out with the US title upside down. DDP jump starts things by diving over the top onto Bret and they brawl for the next few minutes on the outside. Back inside Bret goes to the foreign object but Page stops him and he drops it on the mat. Charles Robinson scoops it up. Page gets one of the worst looking sharpshooters ever on Bret and the dopes in the booth sell it like Bret is a genius for being able to break such a lame duck attempt. Bret attacks the knee that he injured earlier on in the month and wraps it around the ring post. He tries cannonballing it and DDP kicks him over the top rope and sends him into the steps knee first. Page drops it across the ring post and goes after Bret back into the ring with a chair. Robinson grabs the chair and Bret shoves Page who bumps the chair into little Naich. Bret KO's Page and puts on the sharpshooter so the NWO's little crackhead referee can call the submission. It's a Dusty finish as Mickey Jay runs in and argues with the ref and Page cuts Bret and pins him. Crowd wasn't into it for a main event. You have Bret and DDP and you ruin it with the usual nWoish dusty finish BS!"

These guys didn't need that nonsense to put on a good show, in fact it was clear that Hart especially had no time for it all and wasn't working at his best. Had it been the only such match on the card it wouldn't have been such a problem, but at the end of this show it was just tiring."

[6.0] "This would've been more hyped if we hadn't already seen this match twice over the last couple of months. Look, it's good, they work really well with eachother in a period where Bret really doesn't look like he wants to be in the ring anymore and moves as slow as a rock. DDP has repeatedly shown he's still got it, even if he's not got the most innovative offense. And no, putting on the Diamond Cutter from "ANY POSITION" doesn't make it all that much more interesting. We get a strange ending with the ref taking a bump, the nWo ref coming in to do the counts and proclaim Hart the new champ, before a new ref comes in, reverses that, and DDP gets a 3-count after the Cutter."
