[4.0] "Yeah, there you go Raven, drag DDP down with your hardcore bullshit. Page made it watchable, as he knows how to structure his matches and get the fans' excitement up a little with every minute, but unfortunately he had to go against Raven who can only use weapons and deliver a decent DDT from time to time."
"This is a match that I think about all the time. I don't know that it's particularly great but there are spots in it that are so memorable to me. I love death match wrestling so I have a soft spot for stuff like this. The VCR spot cracks me up every time I think about it."
[5.0] "In general, I dont like Last Man Standing matches, because they end up being a lot of nothing happening while a referee counts. The parts of this that were about DDP and Raven wrestling were actually pretty good. The opening brawl had some intensity and the last couple minutes were awesome. The problem is that the middle of the match was nothing but guys hitting a weapon shot then waiting around which doesnt make for a compelling match. The Flock run in being thwarted by Van Hammer expect for the riot squad ruse didnt add much and there are some real logical issues if you break the whole thing down. Why were only two of the four members of the riot squad flock members instead of all four? How was Mortis able to also be on the riot squad to set up the post-match attack on Raven? Why was there one actual riot squad member? All of that aside, this wasnt a bad match, it just didnt overcome the problems weaknesses of last man standing matches. **1/2- An ok last man standing match with a really good last couple minutes."
[6.0] "This was probably a bit too overbooked and they kind of lost the crowd as a result as it was all a bit too much for them. The brawling was decent though and DDP came out of it looking good, which was handy as he was going to wrestle Hulk Hogan a couple of times over the summer so he needed to have some momentum"
[4.0] "A cage match full of garbage cans and assorted props. Raven has a couple of riot cops with him for the match Including a shovel and a vcr, and a fire extinguisher. Raven quickly dumps out the cans then DDP levels him and goes to the bull rope and does the hangman. Raven beats the 10 count then DDP blasts the VCR on his head. Referee gets wiped out for 4 or 8 minutes. Raven gets a drop toehold onto the steel chair and the flock runs in. Riggs uses bolt cutters to open the door, then Van Hammer, who had been kicked out of the flock lays out Reese, Sick Boy and Riggs with a stop sign. He gets handcuffs from a riot cop and cuffs Reese to the railing. Kidman dressed as a riot cop goes into the ring to help Raven and gets a diamond cutter. Raven gets DDP with a diamond cutter and DDP manages to beat the count then he cuts Raven for the 10 count. Another riot squad member cuffs the rest of the Flock then unmasks to reveal Mortis who unmasks to reveal Kanyon. Kanyon breaks a chair on Raven's face and leaves. Didn't care for this very much."
[4.0] "Don't book a cage match with a roof on the damn cage if you're going to do an interference finish. This was just a mediocre brawl until the dumb ending, which unfortunately describes too many of Raven's matches despite his talent. Overbooking hurt this one, not that they semed to have that much of a plan in the cage anyway."
[5.0] "Essentially a Hell in a Cell with weapons. Decent plunder filled brawl, albeit hindered a little by run-ins and terrible camera work. Raven being hanged from the ceiling of the Cell was a surprisingly gory spot for WCW."
[6.0] "Not a bad hardcore match, which to some extent was underestimated. Raven is an amazing hardcore player, and DdP is one of the best stars of that time. **"
[7.0] "The involvement of Raven's riot squad was clear overbooking, but the match was fun and didn't really seem that slow. It was cool to have a weapons/hardcore match inside of a cage. DDP and Raven were so good at tearing the house down in '98 pay-per-views. This wasn't as good as the Uncensored Triple Threat match, but it was still good."
[4.0] "My god this is SLOW as hell. Don't tell me this kind of hardcore match is more taxing on the wrestlers, because Foley and Funk had a much better paced hardcore match the same month, and Funk is a damn fossil."
[8.0] "An excellent hardcore brawl, not as good as their previous work together but still chaotic and enjoyable, with the Flock getting involved all over the place in the end. I enjoyed this feud a lot and they really dragged it out to a bitter yet satisfying conclusion."
