[8.0] "I loved this one. Punk is showing how great he is a as a heel here, taunting the crowd and viciously attacking Doug Williams injured knee. It's a shame seeing Williams go out of the tournament, but he totally put over Punk with that awesome selling of the injured leg. There's some amazing offensive moments by the british, such as stopping a dive attempt with an european uppercut or some of those british style sequences with holds and counterholds. And as I've said, Punk is great as a heel, first choking his opponent against the ropes on a pure wrestling match. At some point Williams is able to hit the Chaos Theory, but as he can't cover right away he decides to go for the Bombs Scare knee drop, but misses landing and hurting his knee, something that Punk will use in his favour with some dragon screws and some yakuza kick on the legs while Williams was on a tree of woe. Williams selling was awesome as he couldn't even stand, but somehow he was able to hit a final Chaos Theory, but on the bridge his knee gives out and both shoulders get to the mat, while Punk is able to get his up pinning Williams. That ending was so clever and original that I loved it. I also liked how Punk is built as this vicious heel that attacks the damaged body parts, something that I'm sure will come in play later on the finals."

[7.0] "Nice display of contrasting styles here, as Punk's heel antics mesh well with Williams' expert grappling, serving to earn heat for the former while highlighting the technical skill of the later. Doug's creativity is a lot of fun to watch, and the story beat with Punk picking apart the knee worked well - particularly since we know that AJ had already sustained a knee injury earlier in the night and may very well be going on to face Punk in the finals. I thought the finish was a clever heel win, too, as it managed to feel cheap while still being well within the rules. Smartly wrestled match all around."

[6.0] "Wish I liked it more but Doug Williams can be slow and bland and Punk is more a character than an athlete at this time. Nice legwork."

[7.0] "Really nice second round match, Punk's leg work played into the really great finish of Doug hitting the Chaos Theory but his leg gave out during the pin, allowing Punk to get his shoulder up while Doug's were down. Punk kinda no-selling the Chaos Theory earlier in the match was a little weird but this was still great - ***3/4"

He's like a shark smelling blood attacking it, and that finish where it came to play was SO awesome. Seriously love, love, LOVE the crap out of that finish - everything leading up to it was already awesome, but that is the cherry on top of the cake."
