[8.0] "This was a great match, at least from what I saw. The version of the match I watched was somewhat clipped, though I don't know why that is. To me, Minoru Suzuki served as a great counter to some of the biggest names in Japan regardless of promotion. You look at him and he was everything that men like Kenta Kobashi, Mitsuharu Misawa and Shinya Hashimoto weren't. Toshiaki Kawada is just like the others. They were big names that had a smash mouth style that had the endurance to go the distance. Suzuki was different, not just because of his size but also because his MMA and grappling style could wear them down. Even if he didn't win, he brought a different challenge then most of their famous opponents. Early on, Kawada had a hard time keeping up with Suzuki, being worn down from various choke holds as well as Suzuki's striking ability. However, Kawada could match Suzuki in strikes so he was able to fight back. The last few minutes was these two trading moves that devolved into slapping the crap out of each other, which was fun to watch. It came down that when the 30 minute time limit expired. ****"

[8.0] "This match was just excellent. Obviously a lot of stiff strikes between these two, some strong Suplexes by both men and an awesome selling by Toshiaki Kawada. The time limit draw during the exchange of slaps shows the determination of these two and the fact that they could go even more time. ****"
