[7.0] "This is a good match but not exceptional. There is some good grappling from Liger and nice strikes from Koji, and some good moves in the later stages. But some of it looks too cooperative and the match is not the most exceptional. I love Liger but this is his standard, not his best."

[10.0] "A superb duel with a needy crowd. After a weird enough match at the 1996 Tokyo Dome, this one looked much better. It had everything a good match needs. The initial landmark on the legs was made for a reason, and one of the big tricks made me open my mouth. Excellent."
