[3.0] "I liked the concept of this Battle Royal but i was expecting the last two to fight but instead they split the money cause they were a tag team which is bs. It was a nice way to open the show but if the final 4 wrestlers did some spots it would have been nicer."
[4.0] "Really not that bad. Some decent action, especially from Pillman, and although the ending was frustrating, it made complete sense. The gimmick put a low ceiling on this match so it turned out about as good as it could have done really."
[4.0] "It wasn't that bad. Apart from the unnecessary hat on a hat stipulation it was a standard Battle Royal and it was kinda interesting to be honest. I'm glad that the announcer was informing the live audience of the eliminations and the finish with Spivey and Sid saying "screw it, let's just split the check" was pretty smart."
[2.0] "1 star I can see the very low rating for this match was all over the place hard to follow and tag team members branded as co winners is not a good descision"
[2.0] "Very disappointing not gonna lie. This was all over the place, not much substance and this was very hard to follow. Having tag partners be co-winners instead of having a tense encounter between them was also pretty disappointing."
[3.0] "I am a bigger fan of battle royals than most and I enjoyed watching it but with two rings it got a little chaotic at times. Ron Simmons being the first eliminated was disappointing. Ending was disappointed as tag partners won and didn't wrestle each other for the 50k."
[2.0] "The stipulation where eliminated wrestlers would compete in the second ring with the two winners facing off at the end was an interesting idea that I wouldn't mind seeing again, but the execution here was pretty poor. A lot of sloppy action that didn't really go anywhere, with Ron Simmons being one of the only people who looked good (and he got eliminated first! ). Dr Death looked like a complete idiot with the way he got eliminated. The failure to even follow through and have the final two wrestle each other made it impossible for me to give this a passing grade. All that rubbish and we don't even get a winner? Weak."
[1.0] "This is one of the worst battle royals I've ever seen, and certainly the worst I've covered so far. This should be cool, and really fun, but just ends up being a mess. It is hilarious to me that the Skyscrapers were the final two in the second ring so they just split the win; that actually made sense."
[2.0] "This was a pretty rough opener. Nothing of substance happened until the Skyscrapers were left standing, and then they decided to just be co-winners. Just a total snoozefest. *"
[3.0] "Not as bad as the score would have you believe. A brief and easy watch to start the show. No one gets announced as they come out and eliminations are not always made clear. The rules I feel are pretty well explained and don't get so much of the confusion. This felt like an interesting way to use both of the rings. Tony Khan would return to this idea last year with the first ever Royal Rampage battle royal, one of my favorite matches of last year. I wonder how direct the influence of this match would have had in developing that, especially considering Jim Ross ended up calling both! Some good stuff in the midst of all the chaos here. Sid and Pillman get a good amount of time to shine alone in the first ring, made me want to see a full match between the two. Dr. Death Steve Williams is made to look like a killer here. I didn't agree with having Ron Simmons eliminated first. He was very over with the crowd and would win the world title in this city a year later. The ending with Teddy Long killed the whole thing a bit glad I admit, but the crowd were very into this."
[5.0] "This was mostly nonsense, but I enjoyed it for what it was: something different. I didn't like the "shared" winners, however, and they should have gone at it."
[1.0] "Made very little sense. You get eliminated from one ring, and then go have a separate battle royal in the next ring, and then the winner of the first battle royal, faces the guy who won out of the losers in the second battle royal. I guess they felt like doing something different, but I'm sure that someone mentioned this was a terrible concept, and they should have listened. Maybe they just wanted to use the second ring more than once. At least add 5 more people, and just have two separate 10 man battle royals, that would make more sense."
[1.0] "Funny how one of the greatest PPVs of all time began with this godawful pointless battle royal. At least Sid Vicious got a reaction from the audience, so this wasn't a complete failure."
[2.0] "A battle royal with absolutely zero interesting moments, what fun! Then as if they couldn't think of a way to make it more boring, they decided the final two guys shouldn't square off because they're in the same faction! Trash."
[2.0] "Well this was quite stupid. The rules didn't make any sense and are super confusing. I couldn't pay attention to anything here. Awful, awful opener with even awful winners. Crowd was engaged throughout though, so I'll give them that. Otherwise, this was literal garbage. [*]"
[2.0] "A confused, messy, chaotic little match that isn't entirely clear on how it operates. People have to go from one right to the other, and only get eliminated once they're in the second right, and it's just... it's not very well executed, and the ceiling on a battle royale isn't terribly high to begin with. Pretty bad."
[1.0] "I am normally a big fan of battle royals but I thought this was bad, not really worthy of the talent involved. Nothing much interesting happened and the winners were poor, in my opinion, they could have done much better."
