[9.0] "Considering the violent cage match they had just one night before this, this was another unbelievable match that's become underrated compared to some of their other legendary matches. The slower climbing made sense here because of the way they was all selling from the previous night. There's a lot of unbelievable high spots throughout the match and it really escalated when the giant ladder was in play and you get the famous spot that would soon show up on the highlight reel at the beginning of every Raw where Edge spears Jeff off the top of it and Matt again ends up having to survive a lot of the match in a 2 on 1 situation and Lita too gets taken out with the unprettier when she gets involved. Theres a good ending where Jeff and Lita recover at the last moment when Edge and Christian was about to get with Matt the Con-Chair-To off the top of the ladders and Matt retained the belts. Outstanding effort."

Matt Hardy had a good babyface performance here just like the night before. Edge hit the spear off the ladder in a similar spot to the WMX7 spot. Really good Sprint of a ladder match.****"

[8.0] "Another ladder match on RAW that's another hidden gem, colour me surprised. The entire match isn't as fluid as their match from No Mercy '99 but it's still a great match. Tons of awesome spots like the ladder sandwich/poetry in motion combo thingymajig (it's hard to describe but it looks cool, I promise) and the spear from the top of the ladder that is... basically the exact same legendary spot from Mania X-Seven many months later, probably a bit lower in height and spectacle, yes, but it was interesting to see that the first time that spot happened was in this match. Probably the best RAW match of the year next to the ten-man tag from February, definitely worth a watch. ****"

[8.0] "Ladder matches on TV are a rare treat, and this one is quite fun. It does have some constraints from time and injuries, yet they produce a compact and engrossing match. The daring spots are nailed just right, and Matt Hardy's gutsy performance gives an engaging story that leads to the match satisfying conclusion. Big Thumps Up for an unknown gem."
