Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Yoshiaki Yatsu

[7.0] "This is a defense of Jumbo's NWA International Heavyweight title. The match appears to have been clipped by a commercial break, but we lose very little even if that's the case. This is good stuff. I enjoyed how Yatsu stood up to Jumbo and followed a gameplan of targeting Jumbo's knee (this continues the story of him using Masa Saito's Prison Lock on him the previous night), and how Jumbo got aggressive to try to get control of things again. That's kind of a theme of this match in general; Jumbo is struggling to keep his composure and some of that Kaibutsu bully character is coming out. The referee throws it out because they won't stop punching each other, but it fit the match and the story they were telling. I enjoyed this. ***1/2"
